• You’ll have the opportunity to take a year-long, paid work experience placement as part of a four-year study path (subject to securing an organisation that is able to support such a placement during the COVID-19 pandemic). We’ll also give you industry professionals and work experience opportunities to help you further develop your professional skills and network. In the past, our students have taken part in Sky's hackathon which tested their knowledge and team-working skills.
• We’re in the process of gaining BCS (British Computer Society) accreditation for our computer science degrees, which means you’ll be able to gain BCS membership once it’s awarded.

This BA has been designed to get you into the diverse film industry, bringing together both theoretical and practical learning.

You’ll be following in the footsteps of a long list of decorated alumni, the likes of which have gone on to work on the latest Star Wars productions, for Disney, the BBC, set up their own companies and continued their studies at the National Film and Television School.

Across the three years, you’ll learn about the complete film-making process, covering a range of production roles, conception and development, post-production, script writing, cinematography, and direction, taught by professionals working in the film industry.

Practical work is an important part of every module, delivered online, and unless you're already in employment, we'll help you find a work placement for up to 12 weeks, during which you'll work on your independent research project.
• Our award-winning technology centre has five specialist laboratories equipped with the latest industry-standard hardware and software, including OPNET, Wireshark, MATLAB, Simulink, OpNet Modeller 17.0, OMNeT++ , National Instruments and Cisco technology such as Packet Tracer. While studying for this qualification you will work with our LTE test bed and Blade Server, and you will learn how to access and configure cloud-based networks. As part of your studies, you'll also have the opportunity to work towards a Cisco CCNA professional certification, worth £1,600 and considered the gold standard in the industry.

Our BA Television and Digital Production has been developed with industry experts to give you one of the most practical and career-focused television production degrees in the UK. Taught in combination with direct, remote and streamed access to our state-of-the-art television studio, industry standard Avid editing suites and top of the range equipment, you’ll get to grips with everything you need to know about broadcasting, streaming, and video on demand. You’ll also learn to write scripts and develop formats as you get hands-on experience of designing a range of programmes, from sitcoms, dramas and documentaries to game shows, children’s television, chat shows and everything in between.

• Our mix of regular masterclasses from top professionals and online visiting lecturers (which include directors, producers and broadcasters from Channel 4, the BBC, ITV and the independent sector) means you’ll be in close contact with the industry throughout your studies. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit live productions to see our industry contacts in action at work.

You enrol on a four-year course, which includes the one-year foundation course. BA International Politics, Economics and Law

Our course will give you a broad understanding of international political systems, economics and international law while enabling you to carefully consider the ever-evolving international context for maximum relevance.

You’ll learn the different international legal, political, and economic perspectives to enhance your critical and analytical ability, and develop your policy analysis skills. The course offers a active role play base learning, including an interactive UN role play event addressing the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goal. Our architectural technology degree combines architecture, civil engineering, services engineering, environmental science and building information modelling to give you the insight, skills and experience to succeed in the most heavily demanded areas of construction.

Gaining first-hand experience of transforming conceptual designs and drawings into practical building projects, you’ll get to grips with the latest technologies, industry software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) techniques. • You’ll collaborate with us to put your new skills into practice through real-world construction and infrastructure projects. Our students are currently leading the way on our MDX Pavilion: a major new project to create a sustainably-designed learning, event, community and well-being space on our campus.
• We’ll give you the flexibility to study over three years (full-time), four years (with a paid, year-long work placement), or six years (part-time). You’ll also be able to get a bursary worth up to 50% if you decide to continue your studies with our MSc BIMM course.
