It focuses on developing skills across all aspects of the design and operation of ships and other large floating structures. You'll gain a broad engineering education. This equips you with key engineering skills engineers apply to industry-specific problems. This accredited degree also provides a direct route to Chartered Engineer status.

You'll have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in advanced topics of naval architecture during your third and fourth year. You'll specialise in a field that interests you. This enables you to graduate in your chosen specialism tailored to your career of choice. Specialisms include:
