Chemical Engineering MEng Honours is a four-year degree. It focuses on developing your knowledge and skills across many chemical engineering topics. Its aim is to provide a direct route to becoming a Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng). This is one of the industry's most recognisable international qualifications.

You'll deepen your knowledge in more advanced topics during your fourth year. You'll specialise in a field that interests you. This enables you to graduate in your chosen specialism tailored to your career of choice. Specialisms include:

BEng or MEng?
Both our BEng degree and specialist MEng degrees provide a pathway to becoming a Chartered Engineer. This is one of the most recognisable international engineering qualifications.

Our MEng degrees are a direct route to becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng). You don’t need to study any more qualifications after your degree to work towards chartered status.

Our three-year BEng degree can also lead to Chartered Engineer status. However, you’ll need to complete further study, such as an approved master’s degree.

Our BSc Geography degree explores the natural environment and the key challenges we face in moving towards a more sustainable world.

You don’t need to decide between human and physical geography and can tailor your degree to your interests. Our degree curriculum is informed by research, which ensures you're learning about the most up-to-date and relevant theories, along with the latest discoveries in the industry. Our food and human nutrition course explores the links between diet and health from the molecular level through to people and populations.
