Human computer interaction specialises in understanding the relationship between people and digital technologies. 

Global industries are developing user research and design to improve their products and services. There is an increasing demand for graduates in this innovative field. You will learn how to develop software and systems to better respond to the needs of customers, clients and users.

This interdisciplinary masters is taught by academics from the School of Computer Science and the Department of Engineering. You will study core modules that cover topics including mixed reality and user experience (UX) design. Optional modules give you the flexibility to study specialist areas such as games software and virtual reality.

All students will undertake an individual research project. This can be in collaboration with an industry partner or with one of our research groups: the Mixed Reality Laboratory and Human Factors lab.

Past projects have covered topics such as; augmented reality, location based services, virtual reality and voice interfaces.

This masters course is an exciting and challenging course, combining the food sciences with management skills. It equips science and engineering graduates for a career in food production or technical management in the food industry. You will acquire the knowledge associated with food processing and quality assurance. It also develops essential management techniques including supply chain planning and quality management.

Factory visits, case studies and guest speakers from industry will give you plenty of industry exposure throughout the year. Tackle the real-life industry problems in our problem-based learning module. The briefs from industry will be used for a new product development project. You will do the practical in our Food Processing Facility which hosts a wide range of commercial scale food production and testing equipment.

There is an opportunity to complete your research project in collaboration with the food industry. Projects can be factory, laboratory or literature based. Some of our students do it on an industry placement.

Join this unique branch of psychology, focused on the rehabilitation of people with chronic illnesses or disabilities, at the only course of its kind in the UK.

You'll take a journey from assessment of what difficulties someone might have because of their illness or disability all the way through to rehabilitation through what interventions may be helpful.

Making use of Nottingham's specific expertise in areas such as chronic illness, neuropsychological rehabilitation, and complex interventions you'll be taught by experts at the forefront of current research and clinical practice in the field.
