Artificial intelligence is changing our homes, workplaces and lifestyles. Our course lets you explore this subject with optional modules in user experience design, autonomous systems, and machine learning.

You'll take part in a group project in year two which prepares you for creating the computer systems of the future. Many projects are in collaboration with industry. Previous students have worked with Capital One, Experian, IBM and UniDays. This is great for your CV and can help you make contacts ready for when you start your career.

The fourth year includes masters-level modules. You have full choice on what you'll study. You could focus on a programming project, look at advanced algorithms or be a STEM ambassador in schools.

This flexible course examines the educational needs of children with labels of learning difficulties and disabilities. You’ll consider the importance of communication and literacy and analyse how different countries approach identification and assessments for children with special needs. You’ll graduate with the skills to be able to make a significant impact on the lives of children.

It is designed for graduates, teachers or other professionals who have an interest in increasing their knowledge and skills in the field of special and inclusive education. If you have completed the National Award SEN Coordination, you can select modules from this course to advance to a full MA qualification.

This MSc course offers the chance to study advanced topics in mechanical engineering.

Our Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management MSc will help you to harness your creativity and make your entrepreneurship goals a reality. It is ideal if you want to start your own enterprise, enter the family business or become a consultant who can work innovatively in a corporate setting.

You will explore topics including launching new ventures, entrepreneurial finances and e-business. You can also study venture capital and private equity, through a practical module that uses real life case studies and guest speakers with vast experience as venture capitalists.

The entrepreneurship project in semester two enables you to work to a brief and deliver a consultancy style report and presentation for the project sponsor - typically a founder of an entrepreneurial SME.

You will also be eligible for membership of the Ingenuity Lab, which will give you access to a wide range of roundtables and seminars hosted by our Entrepreneurs in Residence who also provide mentoring if you choose to undertake a summer business plan instead of a traditional dissertation.

The development and use of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) have revolutionised areas such as computer vision, speech recognition and language processing.

On this course you will learn how to apply ML and AI techniques to real scientific problems. This will help you build vital skills, enhancing your employability in a rapidly expanding area.

Graduates of this course will learn how to:

• Identify and use relevant computational tools and programming techniques
• Apply statistical and physical principles to break down algorithms, and explain how they work
• Design strategies for applying machine learning to the analysis of scientific data sets.

In addition, you will develop a broad set of transferable skills, including communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

BSc Industrial Economics with Insurance will help you discover the answers to these questions and more, giving you an understanding of the complex relationships between economics and global business practices. You’ll analyse a company, taking an in-depth look at its structure, markets, competitors and external economic environment.
