We have collaborated with the Royal Navy to develop this 4-year, integrated master's degree. Here you'll develop mechanical engineering skills, then specialise a marine environment. This naval engineering degree will equip you to work as in engineer in the Navy as well as the private sector.

Our MSc Aerodynamics and Computation degree focuses on numerical methods and the physics and computation modelling of turbulence. It will enhance your knowledge of flow physics and your ability to use state-of-the art computational tools to improve industrial designs. This course is ideal if you’re an engineering, maths or science graduate with a strong background in fluid dynamics or aerodynamics.

This degree will prepare you for a career in industrial research and development, or ongoing postgraduate research.

You’ll take part in individual and group practical work as well as a critical research project, developing your expertise in aerodynamics.

On this pathway you’ll carry out structural and hydrodynamic analyses for offshore engineering of fixed and floating structures. You’ll focus on how to incorporate feasibility analysis of designs and probabilistic theory of the operating climate. 
 
Discover the role of thermo-fluid processes in technologies which use hydrocarbon fuels in a sustainable way. These include clean combustion, carbon capture and storage, and oil and gas recovery.

MEng Aeronautics and Astronautics / Semester Abroad examines many aspects of aerospace engineering, including the design and manufacture of fast-moving aircraft and spacecraft, before specialising in more focused topics in the last 2 years.

On this Yacht and High-performance Craft engineering MSc degree you’ll specialise in the analysis, design and performance of yachts, small craft and high-performance vessels. You’ll also gain an understanding of the fixed and offshore structures that help them to function. You'll graduate with the specialist skills in maritime engineering science to design and analyse marine craft and structures.

This master's degree covers the core subjects and in-depth knowledge of maritime engineering science for both design and analysis of marine craft and structures within the marine environment.

If you have a first degree in engineering, science or maths and are looking for a career in the maritime sector and yacht design degree to study, this could be the course for you. We'll also consider you if you have relevant experience.  You don’t need specialist knowledge of the subject, as we’ll teach you the fundamentals of ship science.
