The MSc Entrepreneurial Innovation & Technology is a highly practical programme that will help budding entrepreneurs conceive and crystallise their ideas about their venture start-up or new business project.

The MSc Economics & Policy of Energy & Climate Change aims to produce future leaders in the sectors of energy and climate change.

The course addresses the complex and increasingly more extreme challenges and uncertainties that industries, economies, governments and societies face. By the end of the programme, you'll be well equipped to understand these, and have the knowledge to adapt to this changing context.

You'll learn about the rapid changes within the global energy system and about the way in which this is impacted by climate change and by the efforts to mitigate its impacts. These changes include escalating energy demand, constraints on supplies, impacts on energy mix, introduction of smart grids, fluctuating energy prices, regulatory pressures to reduce carbon emissions and to promote sustainability, increased integration of renewable energy sources, and changing demographics and patterns of energy use and supply.

Ecological and ‘green’ constraints weigh significantly on engineering designers already and these pressures are likely to increase very significantly during the careers of today’s students. Pharmacology is the study of how drugs and other chemicals affect the body in health and disease. This area explores the development of new and improved medicines and the treatment of disease.

Microbiology is the study of the smallest living organisms (micro-organisms or microbes) and includes viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa. The course is designed for lawyers seeking greater understanding of the processes and management of construction projects as well as in-depth legal expertise relating to such projects. The course is also suitable for construction professionals whose work involves them in the various stages of major construction projects from commissioning to completion.
