Students seeking admission into the Master of Science degree program in Statistics, must meet the admission requirements of Graduate Admissions and the specific program requirements. Students may not take 6000-level courses for credit until all undergraduate deficiencies have been removed.

The major in International Business permits students to prepare for managerial careers in international business. It is interdisciplinary in nature and emphasizes the development of language skills as well as an understanding of the sociocultural, political, managerial, marketing, and economic understanding of the international environment.

Animal Science involves study of the science and business of producing domestic livestock, such as beef and dairy cattle, swine, poultry, sheep and goats.  An animal scientist applies principles of the biological, physical, and social sciences to the problems associated with livestock production, management, and welfare.  Animal Science is also concerned with human food (meat, milk, eggs, etc.) produced from domesticated livestock species.  The food processing industry is one of the largest industries in the U.S.  In addition, Animal Science includes aspects of companion animals (horses, dogs, cats, etc.), including their nutrition, care, and welfare.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Organizational Supervision is a four-year degree program designed to help students transition from a technical expert to a professional leader. The BAS degree is designed with the working adult in mind and is often a common next step for individuals who have an Associate of Applied Science degree and are seeking workforce development or advancement in their current jobs or careers.

Students in the program will gain practical knowledge and academic proficiencies needed to help build upon their technical foundation to provide a pathway to a baccalaureate degree.

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, a one-year master’s degree plan consisting of 30 semester credit hours, is designed for all engineers on management career paths as well as for those charged with managing technology in engineering, manufacturing, and other high-tech organizations. The MEM degree program will also benefit engineers pursuing licensure in states where candidates for professional licensure are required to have an additional 30 semester credit hours of coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in engineering. The curriculum consists of courses offered by the A-State College of Engineering and Computer Science.

Program Outcomes
Program graduates will have:

• Graduates of the Master of Engineering Management program will be able to identify critical issues, formulate realistic solutions, evaluate alternatives, and solve technical problems.
• Graduates of the Master of Engineering Management program will be able to interpret statistical or deterministic models and concepts as well as apply them to technical problems.
• Graduates of the Master of Engineering Management program will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to express alternatives and solutions dealing with technical problems.
• Graduates of the Master of Engineering Management program will be able to function effectively as a member or leader on a technical team.

The major in business administration provides students with a diversified rather than a specialized program in business and economics. It is designed especially for those who need a broad background of training for managing a business of their own or for students planning to enter a large business which maintains its own specialized training program. This program requires a study of every major sector of business activity, with emphasis on creative thinking which will prepare the student for today's employment as well as for meeting tomorrow's challenges.

Majors in the Department of Criminology, Sociology, and Geography are prepared for many professions including teaching, government service, law, business, research, cartography, and community planning; and for professional careers within the criminal justice system such as police, truancy and probation officers, parole officers, and correctional and research personnel.

Students will complete the 27 hours within the MBA core and 9 additional hours of graduate level IB coursework.

English B.A. graduates are likely to be seen anywhere -- sitting in a law school class; reading in a coffee shop on the campus where they teach English; working in a government office; working as a technical writer trying to rephrase something from computer-speak to ordinary English ; or preparing for the ministry in a seminary.
