Housed within the Batterman School of Business, our MBA in Sport and Entertainment Business allows you to further enhance a career in athletic and entertainment management at or near the executive level. In addition to your classes, you’ll have the opportunity to network with experts in professional and amateur sports. You’ll eve gain hands-on training by working with the program’s industry partners and participating in intensive field experiences at major events. Some students have attended events like the Rose Bowl, the Final Four, the College World Series and the Super Bowl. And we want to make all of this available to you, wherever you are. Our courses are offered at our main campus, our off-site locations and online.

This program will allow you to pursue your goals as a sport or entertainment business executive so you can do what you love. You’ll take courses that focus on critical analysis, solution development, innovation, analytics, finance, and teamwork development. This degree will prepare you to go out into the world and serve Christ through serving our neighbors. Often we are called to do this in a language other than English. As a graduate with a Spanish degree, you will be proficient in the language and be able to open more doors both in the employment sense, but perhaps more importantly in a Christian sense. You will be prepared to live a life of service to those in our community who speak Spanish as well as English.
As our population continues to get more diverse, an opportunity also continues to rise. Employers are reporting an urgent need for graduating students to be proficient in Spanish.  The United States Census Bureau reports that the Hispanic population will continue to be largest ethnic minority in the United States. By 2060, Hispanics will make up 28.6% of the U.S. population. As the Hispanic demographic continues to increase, our students who are proficient in the language will have an advantage in nearly every possible area of study and in life.

You will be able to explore all areas of the Spanish language through a variety of activities and experiences during your time in the program. Our small class sizes guarantee personal attention. We offer a variety of ways to use your language skills both on- and off-campus. We offer interdisciplinary volunteer events, Spanish Table, and Spanish Club on-campus. Other volunteer work and internships off-campus offer hands-on experiences in the surrounding Milwaukee community, the U.S. and also abroad. Through these experiences you’ll gain real-world confidence, skills, and experience in language use.

Many of our graduates have gone on in professions such as teaching, health care, mission work, international business, journalism, social services and much more.

This MBA with a concentration in research for business applications is a unique concentration that allows you to take 12 credits from the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) research courses and count them towards the MBA. Saving you time and money for both degrees!

In this concentration, you’ll take four research courses (12 credits) in our DBA program. As a result, you’ll gain knowledge to be a productive researcher in your field. You’ll understand how to collect and analyze data to benefit your organization. Learning the ins and outs of scholarly research, including statistics for research, quantitative research skills, and qualitative research skills. Business decisions should be guided by a strong understanding of the qualitative and quantitative factors that guide strategy and differentiation among multiple alternatives.  While this program allows you to jumpstart your studies in the DBA program, it can also be used to improve your organization and your ability to sift through data driving the complex challenges your organization will face. This concentration will also provide you with the skills necessary to perform solid academic research intended for peer-reviewed publications.

This program nurtures the ability to engage in systematic thinking and provides you with the critical distance to call culture’s dominant assumptions into question and form your own responses. You’ll be immersed in the great conversation of history’s deepest thinkers, trained in logic and ethics, and able to defend faith and human dignity. At this point in time, philosophy has never been so vital – or applicable – to everyday life.
This is a program intended for lovers of wisdom. You’ll develop a trained mind that thinks clearly, precisely, and rigorously. This program will introduce you to the central texts of the world’s greatest ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary thinkers. You’ll learn the methods of careful definition, logical analysis, and argumentation. In addition to core foundations of a robust philosophy program, our program has special emphases on apologetics, moral philosophy, bioethics, human rights, and human dignity. It all boils down to this: the CUW Philosophy program will prepare you to be a thinker. And since you’ll be able to specialize in any area of philosophy that interests you most, you’ll experience the true thrill of charting your own intellectual course in life.

Your mind will be an interesting place, full of curiosity, wonder and intellectual fulfillment.  Upon completion you should feel equipped for either additional graduate-level study  or entrance into the professional world. Not everyone immediately sees the connection between a degree in philosophy and success in the business world, but even a quick glance at some of the top CEOs and entrepreneurs in America shows one thing in common - a philosophy degree. It should come as no surprise that critical thinkers, who think analytically and deeply about problems, would quickly rise to the top. Perhaps most importantly, you will learn how to engage with society’s dominant discourses and trends from a whole different angle than the majority of your peers.

Possibly the only thing greater than unlocking your own creativity through music, is helping someone else unlock theirs. That’s precisely what you’ll do with a focus in music education: help your students learn to express their unique individuality, while providing them with a strong sense of how the shared experience of music brings us all together.
As a music education student, you’ll study music theory, composition, conducting, music history, and forms of the medieval, baroque, pre-classical, romantic, and 20th century periods from around the globe. With such a thorough background, you’ll gain the skills and to share this knowledge with your own students.

Learn the ins and outs of all the instruments in an ensemble by becoming a teacher for K-12 band or orchestra. The K-12 Choral Education curriculum teaches many levels of music theory and music history, conducting, and techniques for teaching brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. In addition to learning in the classroom, stay active in your instrumental skills by participating in an ensemble of your choice each semester.

Our graphic design courses prepare you for careers in both digital and print design. In order to offer the fullest education possible, Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) has partnered with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), which is just a 25-minutes drive from our Mequon campus. Most of your classes (all core requirements, over half major requirements, and your minor) will take place at CUW. Because we have a lab specially designed for our graphic design students, you’ll be able to work on your projects right on campus. Only 15-18 credits of your classes will take place at MIAD. It is worth noting that while graphic design is a highly-demand career, we highly encourage you to  pursuing a complementary minor, such as business or marketing.

The classes you will take in this program will lay the groundwork of good design principles that will guide you through the rest of your career as a designer. Much of your learning will  occur outside of the classroom. Why? Because outside the classroom is where you’ll be putting into practice the design principles you learned in the classroom, developing your creative ideas and completing projects.

As a CUW graphic design student, you will have opportunities to work on professional projects with real-world clients. This, in addition to regular coursework, will contribute to your professional portfolio, which will be published (physically or digitally). One final note on what to expect: in order to be successful, it is critical that you meet project deadlines during your time with us. The faculty are always happy to work with you, so don’t be afraid to ask them for advice.

The Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science is the first step in pursuing your career in occupational or physical therapy. You’ll benefit from a broad-based education that meets the prerequisites for entering our Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). For those of you who already have a particular area interest, you can start early! During your undergraduate studies, you can select elective courses focusing on pediatrics or gerontology.
You are at the beginning of your university education! That is pretty exciting. Are you planning even further ahead for future graduate studies? Yes? This program is going to get you ready for a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). By starting here, you get the skills and knowledge that will serve you later on. Not quite sure if graduate school is for you, but you’d like options? Rehabilitation science is useful in and of itself. It is broad enough to be applicable in plenty of medical and health careers, while focusing on healing and strengthening the human body. We’ll give you a foundation that you can build on whichever way you choose.

In order to provide efficient, quality learning, you can apply for CUW’s MOT program during your sophomore year, and begin the graduate coursework your junior year. What does that ultimately mean for you? By combining the two programs, you will graduate with a bachelor and master’s in 4 ½ years! Opting for the bachelor alone means you’ll be finished in 3 ½ years. Our faculty and staff will help you choose the path that best suits your individual goals and needs.

In addition, there is an accelerated DPT admission option for qualified students. This option allows students to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 6 rather than 7 years. The option is open to students who matriculate as freshman and take all their science prerequisite coursework at Concordia University. If you decide to pursue admission through the accelerated process you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science following completion of your fourth year of academic study at Concordia University.

This concentration in leadership along with the MBA core courses will prepare you to problem solve through practical applications for decision-making in the dynamic business environment. Pairing this core with a concentration in leadership gives you a specific focus on leadership with emphasis on understanding yourself as a leader, leading teams, and leading organizations.Your studies will combine theoretical study of leadership with the practical techniques and skills required in today’s organizations. You’ll discover your leadership strengths and integrate your technical competencies to lead teams and organizations. You’ll graduate with a strong set of business competencies by understanding the qualitative and quantitative data that drive business decision-making, all while building the “soft skills” that will make you a more effective leader in your organization.
