The CUW Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program is a professional level program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

The CAATE accredited Concordia University Wisconsin Master of Science in Athletic Training program will provide students with the professional preparation necessary to succeed as an entry-level athletic trainer.  The program will provide students an educational experience encompassing communication, problem solving, clinical skills, and service.  As a result, students graduating from the program will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities of a successful clinician, will be prepared to pass the Board of Certification Examination, and will be eligible for appropriate state credentialing.  The Concordia University Wisconsin Master of Science in Athletic Training program will accomplish its mission through a holistic approach to the development of the mind, body, and spirit.

Our Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) major is offered by of the Speech-Language Pathology Department at Concordia University Wisconsin. It begins with foundational knowledge of speech, language, hearing, swallowing, normal lifespan development, and leads to hands-on experiences with children and adults with communication disorders. Whether you choose a career in speech-language pathology or audiology, both require a graduate degree to enter clinical practice.
After your introduction to normal speech, language, hearing and swallowing development and disorders, you’ll get hands-on experience through community service learning and clinical observation experiences. As a senior, you may have the opportunity to gain supervised experience in our forthcoming on-campus clinic.

The aim of Concordia’s program is to prepare you for a career in the chemical industry or to pursue graduate studies to earn a PhD, an MD, or a PharmD. Expect to be challenged on a regular basis. Our professors have designed a rigorous curriculum to help you advance as a scientist and develop analytic reasoning. CUW’s Chemistry program is approved by the American Chemical Society, an important distinction for any Chemistry program.

A significant portion of your studies will take place in our recently constructed laboratories, with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Whenever possible, our faculty take a hands-on approach to learning, so you can expect to quickly become comfortable in a lab setting. You’ll gain a thorough foundation in the various areas within chemistry, including organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry. And CUW students aren’t limited to the required courses for developing their skills. If you have a particular area of interest, you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a faculty member in conducting an undergraduate research project.

Concordia has teamed up with Milwaukee Area Technical College to offer you a four-year liberal arts degree with extensive hands-on experience. That means you can get the best of both worlds: the expert professors or resources offered through MATC paired with a traditional undergraduate experience filled with all of the perks of campus living, including exposure to Concordia’s vibrant faith community.

With this degree program, you can choose between two routes to meet your goals and needs. You can enroll at CUW for a traditional four-year experience that includes access to dorms, student life activities, music or theatre programs, and participation in intervarsity sports and then make the 3-mile commute to MATC’s Mequon campus to take your major courses and have access to MATC’s greenhouse and landscaped grounds. Or, you can complete MATC’s two-year associate degree before enrolling at CUW and then complete the CUW liberal arts core courses plus requirements for a minor in order to earn your bachelor’s degree.
While completing this major, you will learn about the fundamental and technical aspects of horticulture, such as landscape design, maintenance, estimate and bidding, ornamental plants, soils, plant health care, and landscape marketing.  You will also choose to emphasize landscape design, landscape construction, or landscape maintenance and arboriculture through specialized tracks at MATC.

In addition to your horticulture major, you will study environmental ethics, environmental science, and environmental law at CUW and choose a minor. Many horticulture students choose to augment their knowledge of horticulture and plant biology with a minor in areas such as general business, accounting, marketing, management, environmental science, biology, chemistry, or art in order to enhance their vocational goals and interests.

Possibly the only thing greater than unlocking your own creativity through music, is helping someone else unlock theirs. That’s precisely what you’ll do with a focus in music education: help your students learn to express their unique individuality, while providing them with a strong sense of how the shared experience of music brings us all together.
As a music education student, you’ll study music theory, composition, conducting, music history, and forms of the medieval, baroque, pre-classical, romantic, and 20th century periods from around the globe. With such a thorough background, you’ll gain the skills and to share this knowledge with your own students.

Learn the ins and outs of all the instruments in an ensemble by becoming a teacher for K-12 band or orchestra. The K-12 Choral Education curriculum teaches many levels of music theory and music history, conducting, and techniques for teaching brass, woodwinds, percussion, and strings. In addition to learning in the classroom, stay active in your instrumental skills by participating in an ensemble of your choice each semester.

When you earn your bachelor of marketing degree from Concordia University, you’ll be able to market yourself to your future company. This program covers a lot of ground, from consumer audiences and their needs to product design, packaging, pricing, advertising, selling, distribution, brand identification, and promotion. You’ll study public relations – how it's used to promote and manage public perception – as well as basic advertising campaign strategies like copy, visualization, and layout. You’ll learn the difference between business-to-business and business-to-consumer operations. The program also covers the digital landscape, teaching the ins and outs of web design and maintenance, and the impact of E-commerce on marketing. You’ll learn marketing research methods and measurements, dip your toes into international marketing, and gain insights on how to ethically engage and interact conscientiously with the public.

After you graduate, you’ll enter the workforce ready with both the technical and creative skills every marketing professional needs to know to succeed. You will know how to create and implement effective marketing campaigns by providing a foundation in the brand identification and promotion, E-commerce, web page design and maintenance, and research methods. The food and beverage track of the MPD, explores the business of food and beverage development; from the development process in the marketplace, to package design, to marketing and management. You’ll partner with industry leaders on projects, and perform work in state-of-the-art food science and sensory labs.

Of course, a program like this wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t teach you the entrepreneurial skills you’ll need to start your own company. But you’ll also learn to build critical-thinking and teamwork skills through case-based teaching and labs, blending technical skills with business, legal, regulatory, and compliance knowledge. You’ll learn how to use analytics and demand projections to make management decisions, while using concepts—like Lean Six Sigma and sensitivity analysis—to solve operations and process-optimization challenges.
