In this program, you will study anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection, and basic patient care. As is fairly evident from the above sentence, we take both patient and medical personnel safety very seriously. You’ll grow confident in your abilities as you learn from some of the best faculty and professionals in the field.

This CUW bachelor degree is a Two plus Two program, in which you spend the first two years on Concordia’s campus taking prerequisite classes prior to entry into the Radiologic Technology (RT) program. You’ll then apply for the next phase that consists of didactic courses and clinical experience with our partner clinical affiliations. It is worth noting that this is a competitive program, so acceptance is not guaranteed. To improve your chances, we’d like to encourage you to demonstrate exemplary grades, prior health care experience, and job shadow hours.

Because the pre-professional curriculum requires about 67 credits (17 credits per semester if taken in 4 semesters), we highly recommend using winterim and summer breaks to fulfill course requirements. Once you are accepted, the more advanced work begins. At first, you are going to spend most of your time in the classroom and scan laboratory, with less time in clinicals. This is to provide you with the theories and principles to ground you before applying them in a real-world environment. Gradually, your classroom time will be reduced as your clinical component increases. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at one of our partner clinics including Aurora, Wheaton Franciscan, and Froedtert Health systems.
With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. Upon graduation, you will be ready to find a rewarding career in a variety of settings. The Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science is the first step in pursuing your career in occupational or physical therapy. You’ll benefit from a broad-based education that meets the prerequisites for entering our Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). For those of you who already have a particular area interest, you can start early! During your undergraduate studies, you can select elective courses focusing on pediatrics or gerontology.
You are at the beginning of your university education! That is pretty exciting. Are you planning even further ahead for future graduate studies? Yes? This program is going to get you ready for a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). By starting here, you get the skills and knowledge that will serve you later on. Not quite sure if graduate school is for you, but you’d like options? Rehabilitation science is useful in and of itself. It is broad enough to be applicable in plenty of medical and health careers, while focusing on healing and strengthening the human body. We’ll give you a foundation that you can build on whichever way you choose.

In order to provide efficient, quality learning, you can apply for CUW’s MOT program during your sophomore year, and begin the graduate coursework your junior year. What does that ultimately mean for you? By combining the two programs, you will graduate with a bachelor and master’s in 4 ½ years! Opting for the bachelor alone means you’ll be finished in 3 ½ years. Our faculty and staff will help you choose the path that best suits your individual goals and needs.

In addition, there is an accelerated DPT admission option for qualified students. This option allows students to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 6 rather than 7 years. The option is open to students who matriculate as freshman and take all their science prerequisite coursework at Concordia University. If you decide to pursue admission through the accelerated process you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science following completion of your fourth year of academic study at Concordia University.

As you know, it isn’t easy getting into advanced programs in the health professions. The good news is Concordia has a major designed specifically for those who aspire to such careers. The biomedical sciences major has three tracks you can choose from: Human Biology, Pre-Medical, and Research. Your selection of electives within your chosen track will enable you to further individualize the final program based on your particular career goals. Plus, CUW has outstanding faculty in the biomedical sciences who are willing and able to guide you in your selection and work with you to help you fulfill your vocation. What will your time at CUW look like? That, of course, depends on you and your interests, but we can at least give you an outline of the coursework you’ll receive. Your foundational classes will focus on the subjects of human biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, physics, and bioethics. Depending on your track choice and electives, you may delve as deeply as you like into anatomy and physiology, molecular genetics, research methods, histology, immunology, and pharmacology.

With an MBA in Sustainability Management and Analytics, you’re going to enter the workforce with hands-on experience and expertise in current sustainability practices. You’ll develop the ability to strategically innovate and handle global productions and operations. You’ll have a deep understanding of ecological economics and you’ll be able to utilize tools of the modern sustainability designed building. Not only will you have knowledge of the field, you’ll also have hands-on experience, certificates in sustainability methods, and exam prep if you decide to take the LEED Green Associate exam. Plus, you’ll increase your financial competence, leadership abilities and communication skills through the program’s eight core classes. You’ll even have a portfolio of your work to show potential employers.

You will complete the Concordia core curriculum and electives, in addition to the credits transferred, to complete your bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology. We encourage you to select a minor that will help you fulfill the total number of credits (120) needed for graduation. You can transfer up to 84 credits and a minimum of 63 credits. This degree can be completed in a year and a half or less! From the very start, we will match you with an academic advisor to determine how many credits you are able to transfer, and get you started on your journey to growing in your career.

We understand that you are a busy working professional. That is why this program provides flexible learning options. Each course lasts 6 or 8 weeks (depending on the given format). You’ll benefit from coursework that is founded on a Christ-centered education.

Our bachelors in accounting is focused on well-rounded preparation, gearing students for success in all realms of accounting practice and providing them with the knowledge base required for key certifications including the CPA, CMA, and CIA. And in the process, you’ll be made ready for a career in private industry or public accounting, with courses covering a lot of ground — from Intermediate and Cost Accounting to Individual and Corporate Income Tax.

A Bachelor of Science in Justice and Public Policy (JPP) from CUW will help you understand how administrative law, along with procedural, and substantive criminal laws apply to effecting arrest search and seizure, evidence collection, and courtroom procedures. You’ll learn best practices pertaining to field and custodial interviews, criminal investigations, and procedures involving juvenile. If you are considering an advanced degree, an introductory courses in criminal justice research methods and criminal psychology will prepare you to understand sociological, psychological, bio-physiological, and free-will theories, while learning how to apply theory to practice within the American civil and criminal court systems, correctional system, and justice system.

What does all that add up to? It creates a foundation for a career in a wide variety of criminal justice related fields by giving you quality instruction. One hundred percent of all faculty have certifications and/or extensive experience in their respective field. This lends itself to practical and experiential guidance in blending your personal and professional ethical values within a system of justice and public policy.

This program will prepare you with basic knowledge on the path to a successful career in an array of fields including attorney, correctional officer, court administrator, federal special agent, law enforcement officer, paralegal, natural resources warden, probation and parole officer, military career, and security management. It is a foundational degree to complete if you aspire to pursue law school or other public policy-focused graduate work. In short, if your goal is to work in the criminal justice field with practical knowledge and understanding of how your decisions and actions serve the community, this degree is for you.

Study how to create complex hardware and software systems, manage complex computer information systems (IT), and lead a technical team. Now offering two new tracks in Software Engineering and Computer Information Systems. Both of these tracks will build on your existing experience by deepening your skills and knowledge in the main areas of computer science. A bachelor's degree in a related field is recommended, but not required. Optional catch-up modules are available for each course to help bring you up to speed.

Upon completion of the MSCS program, you’ll be trained in problem solving, collaboration, creative design processes, professional literature, writing, presentation, and ethical practices. You’ll be prepared for advanced professional positions in software development and other technical/design-oriented roles in computing.

Our computer science master's program was designed with working professionals in mind. You’ll get a rigorous, quality education that fits within your busy schedule. All courses will be available online in an accelerated eight week format, but three courses per semester will be offered face-to-face on campus.

BUSINESS DATA APPLICATIONS
The new business data applications concentration features the same computer science master's core courses in tandem with business data analytics classes to teach you to use your technical skillsets and programming abilities to collect, scrub, analyze, and visualize data to drive better business decisions. This blend of computer science, data analytics, and business classes will prepare you to be a valuable asset to any organization.

Our graphic design courses prepare you for careers in both digital and print design. In order to offer the fullest education possible, Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) has partnered with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), which is just a 25-minutes drive from our Mequon campus. Most of your classes (all core requirements, over half major requirements, and your minor) will take place at CUW. Because we have a lab specially designed for our graphic design students, you’ll be able to work on your projects right on campus. Only 15-18 credits of your classes will take place at MIAD. It is worth noting that while graphic design is a highly-demand career, we highly encourage you to  pursuing a complementary minor, such as business or marketing.

The classes you will take in this program will lay the groundwork of good design principles that will guide you through the rest of your career as a designer. Much of your learning will  occur outside of the classroom. Why? Because outside the classroom is where you’ll be putting into practice the design principles you learned in the classroom, developing your creative ideas and completing projects.

As a CUW graphic design student, you will have opportunities to work on professional projects with real-world clients. This, in addition to regular coursework, will contribute to your professional portfolio, which will be published (physically or digitally). One final note on what to expect: in order to be successful, it is critical that you meet project deadlines during your time with us.
