This program will help you develop your understanding of major events and themes across the eras. You’ll learn about global history and the philosophy of history, and you’ll gain the skills necessary to read, write, speak of, and teach about history. From ancient civilizations to modern Europe, from Asia to America, from politics to economics, from the history of warfare to the history of food, clothing and sports, studying the past helps us to learn about human nature and thus, ourselves. Is there a particular aspect of history that interests you? As a CUW history student, you’ll get to choose an area of emphasis in American, European, or Global history - so you can focus on what you’re passionate about.

Studying history involves more than reading books.  Your learning will revolve around a process that is applicable in many other fields. You’ll start by locating, evaluating, and organizing historical information. Once you have digested the content and various views, you can begin to develop the historical information into written or oral form. Through this repeated procedure, you develop your ability to summarize, analyze, organize, and synthesize texts from a variety of sources. Wherever your career takes you, you’ll be able to use this process to research, understand and analyze information to make important decisions and gain new insights.

The bachelor’s degree in interior architecture and design is a cooperative program with MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). To quote MIAD’s program description, “Our interior architecture and design program is built on the premise that spaces and their furnishings can affect people in deep, meaningful ways.” In this program, you’ll get to experience the Christian liberal arts perspective of Concordia while pursuing a rigorous design program at MIAD. You’ll combine theory and practice to solve visual and spatial problems in the classroom and with real-world clients.

During your time here, you’ll take the majority of your classes (including the Liberal Arts Core, the majority of your major, and your minor) right on the CUW campus. You’ll go to MIAD for the remaining 24 credits (six credits per semester over the course of two years). Many graduates have also paired this major with a complementary minor in business, entrepreneurship, or art to further their abilities and career endeavors.
When you graduate with a degree in interior architecture and design, you’ll have a deep understanding of color and media dynamics, 3-D modeling, and computer-aided design (CAD) drawing. You’ll have as strong foundation in the liberal arts (including history, english, communication, and the social sciences) with hands-on experience working with clients. You’ll even complete a senior portfolio to show the work you’ve done during your time here. Whether you go on to work as an interior designer, a facility planner or a model builder, you’ll have the foundation and skillset you need to build a future in interior architecture and design.

Whether you’re an operations manager, a civil engineer or a chief sustainability officer, our MBA in Sustainability Management and Analytics will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge you need to carry out financially successful sustainability. You’ll learn how to use traditional methods like Six Sigma, lean systems and operations research so that you can improve processes, reduce resource use and waste, and make better social and environmental decisions. You’ll also delve into topics like micro and macroeconomics, decision science, statistical analysis, environmental chemistry and toxicology, environmental law, social entrepreneurship and industrial ecology. And because we want this program to work for you, we offer flexibility first and foremost. Our program is designed for working professionals and can be completed in two years, while working full-time. Plus, we offer our classes at our main campus, our off-site locations and online - so you can join the program wherever you are on the map.

With an MBA in Sustainability Management and Analytics, you’re going to enter the workforce with hands-on experience and expertise in current sustainability practices. You’ll develop the ability to strategically innovate and handle global productions and operations. You’ll have a deep understanding of ecological economics and you’ll be able to utilize tools of the modern sustainability designed building. Not only will you have knowledge of the field, you’ll also have hands-on experience, certificates in sustainability methods, and exam prep if you decide to take the LEED Green Associate exam. Plus, you’ll increase your financial competence, leadership abilities and communication skills through the program’s eight core classes. You’ll even have a portfolio of your work to show potential employers.

In this program, you will study anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection, and basic patient care. As is fairly evident from the above sentence, we take both patient and medical personnel safety very seriously. You’ll grow confident in your abilities as you learn from some of the best faculty and professionals in the field.

This CUW bachelor degree is a Two plus Two program, in which you spend the first two years on Concordia’s campus taking prerequisite classes prior to entry into the Radiologic Technology (RT) program. You’ll then apply for the next phase that consists of didactic courses and clinical experience with our partner clinical affiliations. It is worth noting that this is a competitive program, so acceptance is not guaranteed. To improve your chances, we’d like to encourage you to demonstrate exemplary grades, prior health care experience, and job shadow hours.

Because the pre-professional curriculum requires about 67 credits (17 credits per semester if taken in 4 semesters), we highly recommend using winterim and summer breaks to fulfill course requirements. Once you are accepted, the more advanced work begins. At first, you are going to spend most of your time in the classroom and scan laboratory, with less time in clinicals. This is to provide you with the theories and principles to ground you before applying them in a real-world environment. Gradually, your classroom time will be reduced as your clinical component increases. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning at one of our partner clinics including Aurora, Wheaton Franciscan, and Froedtert Health systems.
With this degree, you will be a key part of the health care field by safely creating images needed to check for bone fractures, blocked blood vessels, abnormal growths in breast tissue, brain tumors, and so much more. This program isn’t all ones and zeroes, if that’s what you’re thinking. It’s actually a three-part curriculum that starts with a liberal arts core, moves on to lay a solid foundation in general business, and then offers specialized focus in finance. From accounting to economics and statistics, you’ll set the groundwork for a wide array of financial and business management topics. We’re talking the time value of money, interest rates, financial statements, capital allocation, stocks, bonds, derivatives, economic policy, international trade, foreign currency, regulation, and many others.

At the end of this program, you will know the ins and outs of business commerce you can apply all around the world. To be successful within this program, you must possess an exceptional drawing ability. Because we want you to have every opportunity to develop your skills, CUW has partnered with the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) to create the illustration bachelor’s degree. Your 18 credits that take place at MIAD allow you to use the very latest in illustration concepts and technologies. Most of your classes (all core requirements, over half major requirements, and your minor) will be taught right on the CUW campus. You will experiment with both digital and physical illustration mediums to develop your own unique illustration style. Because aspiring illustrators need to distinguish themselves in the workplace, we recommend choosing a compatible minor in business or marketing.

Illustration is a very competitive field, demanding excellent drawing skills and the ability to produce images quickly and meet firm deadlines. You can anticipate this same rigour during your time as a student. Faculty will expect you to spend a substantial amount of each day on observational drawing to improve your technical abilities. A great deal of patience, self-discipline, and dedication will be asked of you. Upon graduation, you will be well-equipped to create both physical and digital drawings for books, magazines, websites, and other media.

This program explores the economic problems faced by individuals, business, and nations by offering courses in the historical, practical, theoretical, and empirical aspects of economics. You’ll be qualified to seek employment in the private, public, or nonprofit sector or to seek advanced degrees and graduate study.
