The Master of Arts in Theology degree program focuses on the classical theological disciplines of Scripture, church history, theology, and ethics, and reflects Seattle Pacific University’s vision to engage the culture and change the world with the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ. The Theological Integration concentration combines rigorous study in the classical theological disciplines with an interdisciplinary focus. You will be prepared to serve in diverse settings and equipped to live a more integrated life of faith and mission as an administrator, manager, or marketplace or Christian organization professional.

Chemistry forms a foundation for the study of a wide variety of scientific disciplines. It is concerned primarily with matter, energy, and their interactions. Chemists are both creators and problem-solvers who do everything from create new substances to analyze criminal evidence. A Bachelor of Art in Art will provide students with an opportunity to express themselves using a variety of creative disciplines and methods within the visual arts and prepare them for such fields as museum studies, gallery management, curator, teaching, studio artist, graphic design, product design, art therapy, graduated studies in a variety of related fields, fashion, and marketing.

If you want to become an elementary or secondary school principal, this program is for you. The degree prepares students for principal certification. To be eligible for entry into the MEd in Educational Leadership with the intention of earning a Principal Certificate, you must be a certificated teacher or certificated Educational Staff Associate (ESA) with a minimum of one year of successful teaching or related experience. The MEd in Educational Leadership also prepares individuals who want to earn a Program Administrator Certificate in order to serve as an administrator in a school district central office, resource centre, or other administrative centre. If this is your goal, you are not required to hold a teaching or ESA certificate for entry into the program, but you must have at least one year of successful experience in a P–12 school system at the building or district level. This 45-credit program offers current research and best practices to help principals and program administrators interact with students, teachers, parents and their communities.

The BS in Psychology is designed for students that are passionate about integrating psychology and natural sciences with the goal of pursuing careers or graduate programs such as but not limited to clinical psychology, behavioral or cognitive neuroscience, and animal behavior.

The BS program also prepares students for further study or employment in fields such as behavioral neurobiology, health psychology, and behavioral medicine.

Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience: Provides students with the knowledge and skills for graduate work or jobs in the research or application of neuroscience and neuropsychology.

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Psychology majors are rigorous yet flexible programs designed to meet the American Psychological Association Guidelines for the Undergraduate Psychology major while also fulfilling SPU’s mission to provide students with a transformative and holistic experience grounded in Christian faith.

As such, these programs prepare you with extensive knowledge of the field; scientific and critical thinking skills; an awareness of diversity, ethics in practice, and social responsibility; effective oral and written communication skills; and professional-level training and experiences (e.g., research and internship opportunities) for both careers and graduate school in psychology.

Psychology (BA)

The BA in Psychology is designed for students with a broad range of career and graduate school interests such as, but not limited to, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, school counseling, and industrial and organizational psychology.

Clinical Counseling Psychology: For students interested in working within a therapeutic context, this track focuses information and experiences relevant to clinical psychology, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, as well as related graduate programs or jobs providing or researching the effectiveness of therapy or counseling.
