NSU’s B.S.B.A. in Business of Health is designed as a pre-med program. The curriculum includes foundational business courses as well as nine required courses in pre-med sciences and other health care related topics. This program not only prepares you to take the MCAT and pursue medical schools, such as NSU MD, but also helps you qualify for a number of top-earning careers in health care

The one-of-a-kind business of health major provides a comprehensive, flexible, transdisciplinary, problem-based and team-based learning experience, exposing students to the full continuum of the U.S. health ecosystem – taking a look at the upstream, midstream and downstream factors impacting the business of health, population health management, and healthcare delivery in the United States. The major is poised to prepare tomorrow’s leaders as agents of change who will develop innovative approaches to successfully tackle population health and healthcare management challenges of today and tomorrow. The general education and pre-med science courses also prepare students to take the MCAT exam and pursue medical school.

The Master of Accounting with a concentration in Managerial Accounting provides you with the accounting and financial management skills you need to drive business performance. Our curriculum is guided by faculty with professional accounting experience outside of the classroom. You’ll have opportunities to work with a successful mentor, obtain coveted internships, and work on real world projects in the classroom.

This course covers an advanced-level discussion of managerial accounting. Specific topics include the role of cost information in pricing, ethics and management accounting, capital budgeting, strategy and the Balanced Scorecard, transfer pricing, performance measurement, activity -based costing/ activity-based management, inventory costing (including variable and absorption costing), and inventory management.

• Courses offered alternate weekends, limited weeknight offerings on the main campus and online.
• Designed for working professionals in the field of accounting.
• Students with limited accounting experience can complete foundation course requirements online.
• Program can be completed in as little as 18 months.
• Program begins three times annually with starts in August, January and May.

You may also be qualified to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination, depending on your chosen electives.
