Sonography is a medical specialty that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the human body. This program focuses on abdomen-extended, obstetrics and gynecology.  Physicians analyze these images to aid in diagnosis.

The diagnostic medical sonography AS degree prepares you to take the national registry examination to become a certified sonographer who provides imaging services under the supervision of a physician.

Graduates of this AS degree program are granted admission into the health sciences Bachelor's degree program at the University of North Florida.

The Communication AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. The Communication pathway is designed for students with an interest in group dynamics, health communication, persuasion, performance, leadership, gender issues, interpersonal and intercultural communication. This degree prepares students for a variety of careers in event planning, public relations, media, sales, management, marketing, human resources and hospitality.

The culinary management AS degree teaches you the skills necessary to work as a cook or chef, and prepares you for commercial and institutional management positions in the culinary industry. If you're previously or currently employed in these occupations, this program offers supplemental training.

The coursework includes sanitation and safety; maintenance and operation of equipment; recognition and identification of foods; proper storage of equipment; methods of preparation; usage of foods; methods of cooking; garde manger; performing different types of food services; nutrition; baking; communication skills; math skills; computer applications; supervision management; professionalism; culinary organization; food and beverage purchasing; dining room management; and beverage management. Students also receive training in communications, leadership, human relations, finance, employability skills, sanitation and safety, and efficient work practices.

Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, this program provides hands-on experiences in a simulated job environment with industry equipment, supplies and standards.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in Accountancy, which includes careers in business, industry, government, and other organizations.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students.  CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. Consult an academic advisor with questions related to pathways and course planning.

The business administration and management AS degree prepares you to assume management or supervisory positions in business, industry and government. Learn basic skills in a broad range of business functions, including accounting, computer usage, management and marketing.

Digital forensics (sometimes known as digital forensic science) is a branch of forensic science encompassing the recovery and investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to computer crime.

The digital forensics AS degree prepares you for a career in security concepts and computer forensics investigations. Develop proficiency in basic and advanced security concepts, computer forensics investigations, and other skills related to this field.

The restaurant management AS degree prepares you for employment as manager of a restaurant, café, coffee shop, cafeteria or lunchroom, bar, or similar establishments. Or you may pursue a career as a food and beverage manager, dining room supervisor, fast food service manager, or catering professional. This program also provides supplemental training for those already working in these areas.

Coursework includes the management of selling, preparing, storing, promoting, displaying, serving food, and providing customer service.

Echocardiography uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the human heart. Our AS degree prepares you to perform diagnostic studies on patients in order to quantify cardiac disease, including coronary arteriography, hemodynamic monitoring and analysis, and electrophysiology studies. Graduates must pass national registry examinations to become certified echocardiography technologists.
