The restaurant management AS degree prepares you for employment as manager of a restaurant, café, coffee shop, cafeteria or lunchroom, bar, or similar establishments. Or you may pursue a career as a food and beverage manager, dining room supervisor, fast food service manager, or catering professional. This program also provides supplemental training for those already working in these areas.

Coursework includes the management of selling, preparing, storing, promoting, displaying, serving food, and providing customer service.

Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation, this program provides hands-on experiences in a simulated job environment with industry equipment, supplies and standards.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in computer and information technology security.  Cybersecurity degrees lead to positions as a systems administrator, intelligence analyst, network engineer, information security manager, network security engineer, or information systems analyst.

The engineering AA pathway is for students who wish to pursue Bachelor's degrees in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer science, aerospace, nuclear, agricultural, industrial, and environmental engineering. Options in surveying and mapping, and materials design and testing are also available.

Careers include positions in the areas of design, testing, research, architecture, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, sales, construction management, and technical writing. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

A radiographer performs various radiographic procedures and techniques that result in images that are interpreted by a licensed physician.  The radiography AS degree trains you to apply x-ray energy to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The graduate of the Radiography Program is eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist's (ARRT) examination and will also be eligible for a State of Florida General Radiographer license.

The Communication AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. The Communication pathway is designed for students with an interest in group dynamics, health communication, persuasion, performance, leadership, gender issues, interpersonal and intercultural communication. This degree prepares students for a variety of careers in event planning, public relations, media, sales, management, marketing, human resources and hospitality.

This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year college/university degree in such fields as history, humanities, education, pre-law, political science, museum studies, journalism, library science, archeology/classics or international studies programs. This pathway is broadly designed to allow students to cater the major to their own interests, however, students are encouraged to meet with a full-time history faculty member to discuss their program interests in their first semester at HCC.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first?time?in?college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The computer programming and analysis AS degree helps you develop the skills necessary to become a computer programmer, data manager, specialist or analyst.

The accounting technology tax option AS degree prepares you for a position as an accountant or an accounting paraprofessional in advanced professional accounting occupations requiring analysis, evaluation, theory and design.

The coursework focuses on basic accounting functions as well as skills common to several fields of business, including finance, business law and general business topics.

Digital forensics (sometimes known as digital forensic science) is a branch of forensic science encompassing the recovery and investigation of material found in digital devices, often in relation to computer crime.

The digital forensics AS degree prepares you for a career in security concepts and computer forensics investigations. Develop proficiency in basic and advanced security concepts, computer forensics investigations, and other skills related to this field.
