The public health AA pathway is for students interested in earning Bachelor's degrees in public health or related fields. This program provides a broad-level understanding of the goals and challenges of public administration and the relationship of these to more specialized aspects of planning, organization, management, and analysis in the public sector at the national, state, and local levels.

Please note only 60 of these credits are needed for AA degree completion. For each pathway, IDS 2891 is a degree requirement, and for most of the pathways, SLS 1106 is required for first-time-in-college students. CGS 2100 may be able to be tested out for no credit. The computer science engineering AA pathway degree is for students who want to pursue a Bachelor's degree in computer and information engineering sciences. Technical careers may include planning and developing new computer systems, computer programming, software development, systems analyst and technical writing.

If you plan to earn a Bachelor's degree in education with the goal of becoming a teacher, the education teacher preparation AA pathway degree is designed for you. You must have a standard high school diploma or a GED to qualify for this program.

The HCC Mathematics Associate in Arts degree pathway is for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a university in mathematics or a related field. The goal of the mathematics associates degree is to enhance students’ competence in the dynamic disciplines of mathematics and statistics, and includes coursework in college algebra, trigonometry and calculus I, II & III.

Courses offered by the mathematics department promote the ability to reason quantitatively in a variety of ways. Many university programs require the completion of specific courses prior to acceptance. It is the student's responsibility to contact the institution to ensure transferability.

The HCC Philosophy Associate in Arts degree pathway is a for students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in philosophy at a college or university. The associate degree provides students with the foundational knowledge required to enhance their understanding of philosophy as a critical inquiry of nature and human society, to analyze and evaluate major paradigms in philosophy from historical and contemporary perspectives, to sharpen critical thinking and argumentative skills, and to prepare students to transfer to a university.

This degree offers students a fundamental understanding of the main fields of philosophy, including logic, ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, social and political philosophy, aesthetics, and philosophy of religion while exposing students to a broad spectrum of philosophical theories. Nursing is a challenging, rewarding career. A nationwide nursing shortage means great career opportunities are available. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our nursing AS degree program takes four semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the National licensing exam NCLEX. This pathway is for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in computer and information technology security.  Cybersecurity degrees lead to positions as a systems administrator, intelligence analyst, network engineer, information security manager, network security engineer, or information systems analyst.
