Journalism
In our fully accredited Bachelor of Arts in Journalism program, you'll gain expertise in news writing and reporting, shooting and editing video, and designing mobile websites, using the latest industry tools and software.

This degree prepares students for positions as high school educators, corporate chemistry reps (working with chemical testing and supplying companies), and as lab technicians. The program also serves as a foundation for a variety of graduate and doctoral programs.

The Department of Chemistry's program for the BA major in chemistry is not accredited by the American Chemical Society. This program is designed for students who need a strong foundation in chemistry but who do not anticipate working in a laboratory environment.

Take your place as an innovative leader in sports and recreation through the Master of Science in Sports Science at Hofstra University. Develop a design and implementation skill set for creating training programs that enhance athletic performance and reduce injuries. Choose from two concentrations: Strength and Conditioning, and Exercise Physiology. Apply what you learn in the classroom to the real world through fieldwork experiences. The BS in Physics is better suited for students who are planning careers as research scientists or in technology fields that require advanced degrees in physics or engineering.

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University established the LL.M.
