Music Business
This concentration prepares student musicians for careers in publishing, recording, sales, management, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and the many other fields that make up the music business.

An INTO Hofstra Graduate Pathway program in Health Administration will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Hofstra University. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, you may enter your next semester of graduate study at Hofstra University. This transition from an INTO Hofstra program to a university degree program is called progression.

Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree is available through an on-campus CAHME-accredited program as well as an online program. The different learning formats allow students from New York City, Long Island, and other regions to develop and strengthen their health services knowledge, communication skills, and leadership skills. MHA graduates from both programs are expected to be practice-ready professionals who contribute to their organizations and communities.

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University established the LL.M. Program in Family Law in response to contemporary family law practice's increased demand for specialization and need for an interdisciplinary focus for resolving family issues. The only program of its kind in the eastern United States, and one of only three programs in the country, Hofstra Law's LL.M. Program in Family Law furthers Hofstra Law's commitment to developing skilled and compassionate family lawyers who have a thorough grounding in the issues central to the field - divorce, family violence, child custody, abuse, neglect, and support - as well as knowledge in related areas such as tax, contracts, real estate and partnership law, child psychology and treatment options.

Art History
This degree offers classes in the study of art and architecture, from cave paintings to new media installations. Students learn about medieval art and works of the Italian Renaissance, the Romantic, Baroque, and Gothic Ages. They learn about artistic movements and how the study of art highlights issues related to politics, culture, and religion.

This program reflects the need within a broad-based engineering curriculum, for a diversity of offerings reflecting the diversity of careers in the engineering field today. Engineering today encompasses many new technologies, but the core educational requirements remain a thorough grounding in mathematics, physical sciences, engineering sciences and design. The Engineering Science degree then allows students to specialize in one of two options: biomedical or civil. Both options integrate design throughout the curriculum, beginning with the first year, and culminating in a year-long major senior-level design project.

Biomedical engineering or bioengineering is designed to bridge the gap between the life sciences and physical sciences by applying engineering concepts, methods and techniques to biology and medicine. An understanding of fundamental physiological processes using engineering methodology requires a broad background in basic engineering, sciences and mathematics. Three emphases (biomechanics, bioelectricity and premedicine) are available to the students. The biomechanics and bioelectricity emphases differ from each other by five courses as outlined below. The course requirements for the premedicine emphasis, which is intended for bioengineering students interested in pursuing health professions, are listed separately.

Jazz & Commercial Music
This concentration provides a musical environment that helps prepare students for a performing career in today’s diverse world of professional music. It builds knowledge of composition, arranging, improvisation, technology, history, and business.

Sustainability Studies
The BS program is for students interested in careers that take an engineering, technological or scientific approach to sustainability. Students in this program are required to take at least 23 credits of science and math.

This is a more intensive program, with more required coursework in fine arts and art history than the BA degree. In addition, students must select a specialization from one of the following areas:
