Information Systems

This program focuses on information systems and information technology. Students will decide on specific technologies that they are most interested in managing: Network and cyber–security (also earn CISCO certification), web and commerce, database and big data, healthcare and enterprise systems (look for our SAP certification coming soon).

An INTO Hofstra International Year One program in Health Science/Exercise Science will prepare you to enter your next semester of a bachelor’s degree program at Hofstra University. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of undergraduate study at Hofstra University. This program qualifies students for general accounting careers in business, but does not satisfy in full the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York state

Theory/Composition Concentration
This concentration prepares student musicians for advanced study leading to careers in music theory, composition, or other allied areas of music.

Video/Television

The BS in Video/Television gives you a more technical, specialized approach to television and video production. Courses include advanced television technologies, multi-camera production, a media production practicum, as well as a science and computer science requirement.

Sustainability Studies
The BS program is for students interested in careers that take an engineering, technological or scientific approach to sustainability. Students in this program are required to take at least 23 credits of science and math.

Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering students at Hofstra learn to design hardware and software for the computing devices and systems that serve as the foundation for nearly every critical institution in society. Our graduates move into a variety of well-paying jobs, from software engineering, operating systems development, and the design of hardware systems and complex networks, to creating and managing mobile devices, sensing and control systems, biomedical devices, and more.

Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree is available through an on-campus CAHME-accredited program as well as an online program. The different learning formats allow students from New York City, Long Island, and other regions to develop and strengthen their health services knowledge, communication skills, and leadership skills. MHA graduates from both programs are expected to be practice-ready professionals who contribute to their organizations and communities.

Applied Physics - Computer Science

The BS in Applied Physics allows students to combine the BS in Physics with a concentration in biochemistry, computer science, or engineering. The curriculum includes electives in humanities and social science to give the student a general background to supplement training as a specialist.

Global Studies
Global Studies is a rigorous interdisciplinary program that will provide you with the theoretical and practical tools to critically analyze the ongoing processes of economic, political and cultural change that have collectively become known as "globalization."

As you move along in your studies, you may take courses in such diverse fields as geography, international business, political science, urban and regional studies, sustainability, economics, health, history - even food culture - and unravel their complex, changing relationships and the roles they play in communities locally, regionally, and around the world.
