Cybersecurity Management and Policy

The program is designed to provide students with a sound foundation in business principles, while also ensuring they have a strong understanding of the cybersecurity field. The concentration in Classical Languages and Literatures emphasizes language training in ancient Greek and/or Latin and provides the student with a strong background in classical literature and in related areas of study within classics – for example, ancient history, philosophy, art history, and the religious traditions of Greece and Rome and early Christianity.

Biology - Marine Biology

Geographic Information Systems
The BS in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is better suited for students with a mind for processing data. It offers technical-oriented, professional-grade training in GIS and geospatial technologies, and requires significant math, statistics, and natural science coursework. Unlike the major in geography, the GIS degree requires a minor or a second major in an area outside geography. Some popular choices among our GIS students include civil engineering, biology, journalism, and political science.

Neuroscience
Neuroscience majors combine coursework in psychology, biology, and chemistry to gain insight and understanding about how the brain, body, and nervous system work. Students who pursue a neuroscience degree often go into medicine, teaching, or research, including robotics and bioengineering.

Neuroscience is generally designed to provide rigorous preparation for advanced study in a PhD program. In addition to coursework in psychology and biology, classes in physics and chemistry are also required. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, it's not unusual for some classes to be co-taught by biology and psychology professors in order to give each discipline their proper perspective.

The creative writing concentration is for serious writers ready to immerse themselves in their craft. Classes are intimate and interactive, led by our faculty's accomplished poets, playwrights, and fiction and nonfiction writers.

Do you have a talent for math and statistics? Are you a gamer who finds yourself following the stock market and business news the way your friends analyze box scores? Then you should consider studying finance, which is a great foundation for a career on Wall Street, in government, or as an entrepreneur.

As a student in our finance program, you will learn how to assess risk and use financial modeling to game out different strategies and scenarios. You will develop an understanding of how economic policy moves markets and drives values. And you will study and learn how individuals make decisions about money and investing, and how those decisions affect big-picture outcomes.
