Marketing - Professional Sales
The Professional Sales sequence exposes students to the latest theories and practice in sales education, research, and the profession. Students complete three required courses in marketing and two required and three elective courses in professional sales. The program incorporates existing personal selling and sales management courses, and offers several specialized classes including: Key Account and Relationship Management, Professional Sales Planning and Analysis, and Advanced Professional Selling and Negotiation.

Accountancy
The primary objective of the Master of Science in Accountancy program is to provide candidates preparing for professional careers in accounting a greater breadth and depth in accounting education than is possible in a baccalaureate or Master of Business Administration program.

The degree builds upon the broad framework of the undergraduate degree in accounting. Graduate accounting courses emphasize study of current accounting literature, critical thinking, case studies, accounting theory, and written and oral communication. Class sizes are designed to be small to encourage interaction between the professor and each student.

The basic curriculum is designed to thoroughly acquaint Marketing majors with the broad field of marketing and to allow focused study in narrower subfields, depending upon the students' interests and aptitudes. Students may choose Marketing electives from one or more of the following six career-track concentrations: Advertising/Promotion, Business/Industrial Marketing, Marketing Research, Retailing/Distribution, Selling/Sales Management, and Services Marketing.

The Game Design Sequence in the Creative Technologies (CTK) program at Illinois State lets you forge your own paths in the industry.

Family and Consumer Sciences - Teacher Education
The FCS teacher education program has a strong reputation of producing high-caliber teachers. It focuses on the fundamentals of teaching and prepares FCS teacher candidates in:

Our program meets the Illinois teacher licensure requirements. Teacher candidates can get an Illinois teacher's license in a four or two-year degree program . Graduates are qualified to teach 6th through 12th grades in all areas of FCS. Endorsement options are also available.

The English Studies major is based on a broad model of interdisciplinary study in the fields that make up English Studies. The Department of English offers a full curriculum of courses in eight disciplines, including literature and cultural studies, children's literature, linguistics, rhetoric and composition, technical communications, creative writing, the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and Publishing.

Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on living systems.

The graduate program studies how biomechanics relate to performance enhancement and injury prevention. Students apply what they learn and serve as movement analysts in sports and workplaces. At the end of the program, they complete a thesis, independent study, or professional practice.

Depending on individual career aspirations, completion of the Biomechanics sequence prepares a student for future study at the doctoral level, for employment as a research assistant with a corporate entity, or to serve as a member of a workplace safety team.
