Accountancy
The primary objective of the Master of Science in Accountancy program is to provide candidates preparing for professional careers in accounting a greater breadth and depth in accounting education than is possible in a baccalaureate or Master of Business Administration program.

The degree builds upon the broad framework of the undergraduate degree in accounting. Graduate accounting courses emphasize study of current accounting literature, critical thinking, case studies, accounting theory, and written and oral communication. Theatre - Design/Production
Welcome to the Production Design and Technology sequence at Illinois State University's School of Theatre and Dance! This is where your talent and skills turn into magic on stage. You will create exciting theatrical environments filled with costumes, scenery, lights and sound. We in the production and design technology sequence make it happen in our shops, in the rehearsal hall, and in the classroom. You will have hands-on opportunities to practice your chosen craft and experiment with others you never dreamed of mastering. The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers a Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a sequence in Interior Design. The master’s program expands knowledge on creativity, sustainability, health and wellness, and evidence-based design.

Students can tailor this sequence to focus on theory and research and further develop their design skills in commercial design, cultural/global design, healthcare facilities design, and universal design. The sequence is suitable for both designers and architects who want to teach or become research practitioners, as well as those who want to advance their undergraduate degree as a practitioner in the field.

Music Therapy
The Music Therapy sequence provides academic content and clinical experiences related to competencies outlined by the American Music Therapy Association.

Students who complete the Music Therapy degree are eligible to sit for the national board certification exam to obtain the credential MT-BC (Music Therapist - Board Certified), which is necessary for professional practice.

Illinois State's Chemistry Teacher Education program is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). The Department of Chemistry is one of the nation's top producers of degrees certified by the American Chemical Society.

Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication
The Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication sequence enhances communication knowledge, understanding, and skills for enhancing organizational relationships. The goal of this sequence is to equip the student to successfully use communication as a tool to enhance organizational outcomes. Students will gain an understanding of how communication processes can be used to manage behaviors in an organizational context while becoming a competent communicator.

The Elementary Teacher Education program at Illinois State will prepare you for a professional educator's license to teach grades 1-6. The program is recognized as a model of standards-based and performance-based teacher education.

Throughout your coursework, you will gain the professional knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to become a highly effective elementary classroom teacher and informed decision-maker about elementary curriculum and instruction.

The Computer Systems Technology program prepares technology professionals to manage computer systems and develop applications in a variety of settings. Students develop knowledge and communication skills to successfully collaborate on projects.

Illinois State's award-winning and nationally recognized Spanish Teacher Education major prepares graduates for K-12 teaching, while offering a dynamic interdisciplinary approach for exploring the diverse Spanish-speaking world.

Language coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Chile, Panama, and Spain. Award-winning co-curricular activities, carried out by the Spanish Club and the Sigma Delta Pi (National Collegiate Spanish Honor Society), also help students develop their speaking skills and learn more about Spanish-speaking communities.
