Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication
The Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication sequence enhances communication knowledge, understanding, and skills for enhancing organizational relationships. The goal of this sequence is to equip the student to successfully use communication as a tool to enhance organizational outcomes. Students will gain an understanding of how communication processes can be used to manage behaviors in an organizational context while becoming a competent communicator.

Food and Nutrition Management
The Food and Nutrition Management program at llinois State covers the broad field of nutrition with a special focus on the food and beverage industry, rather than science. The program combines business and management principles with food service and hospitality skills.

Music - Music Conducting

Students pursuing the Master of Music in Conducting are given extensive podium time and are mentored by dedicated and active conducting faculty. Upon graduation students are prepared to:

• Seek their doctoral degree
• Conduct school, church or community ensembles
• Conduct at a community college or university

The curriculum includes:

• Applied conducting
• Analysis for conductors
• Research
• Practicum in conducting
• Electives chosen from courses like non-degree recitals, music technology, music history, music theory, music education, music therapy, music business, jazz studies, ensembles, and non-music courses

The Bachelor of Music Education (BME) provides the foundation of critical skills and knowledge necessary for our teacher candidates' preparation towards licensure. Most importantly, these experiences help foster a strong educational philosophy focused on leadership and service to all students so that their lives are affected by the beauty of music.

You get to study with Music Education faculty who are committed to undergraduate teacher education. They are recognized nationally for their expertise and provide leadership and service in professional organizations and affiliations at the local, state, national and international levels.

Students seeking a Bachelor of Music Education choose from one of four sequences based upon your primary performance area (brass, percussion, piano, strings, voice, or woodwind), including:

• Choral/General/Vocal
• Choral/General/Keyboard
• Instrumental/Band
• Instrumental/Orchestra

The anthropology master's program at Illinois State is flexible and individualized. With only two required courses, you can work with an advisor to design a curriculum that engages you and helps you achieve your goals.

Our graduate program builds on our fully developed four-field program in archaeology, anthropological linguistics, cultural anthropology, and biological anthropology. Within that, we offer five concentrations:

Agriculture - Agronomy Management
The Agronomy Management sequence emphasizes a broad knowledge of agricultural production, science, and agribusiness management. Graduates are employed by companies as crop consultants, for sales and marketing of equipment, and by companies specializing in agronomic products including seed, fertilizer, and pesticides. Additionally, career opportunities are available with local, state, and federal governmental agencies, including such organizations as Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Extension Service, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
