Agriculture - Agriculture Communications and Leadership
The Agriculture Communications and Leadership sequence combines a broad background in agriculture and elements of education and leadership training with coursework and experiences in the field of communication to prepare students for a wide variety of opportunities in the agricultural press, corporate communications, extension education, and a variety of non-formal education careers.

The Bachelor of Music Education (BME) provides the foundation of critical skills and knowledge necessary for our teacher candidates' preparation towards licensure. Most importantly, these experiences help foster a strong educational philosophy focused on leadership and service to all students so that their lives are affected by the beauty of music.

You get to study with Music Education faculty who are committed to undergraduate teacher education. They are recognized nationally for their expertise and provide leadership and service in professional organizations and affiliations at the local, state, national and international levels.

Students seeking a Bachelor of Music Education choose from one of four sequences based upon your primary performance area (brass, percussion, piano, strings, voice, or woodwind), including:

Theatre - Design/Production
Welcome to the Production Design and Technology sequence at Illinois State University's School of Theatre and Dance! This is where your talent and skills turn into magic on stage. You will create exciting theatrical environments filled with costumes, scenery, lights and sound. We in the production and design technology sequence make it happen in our shops, in the rehearsal hall, and in the classroom. The Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication sequence enhances communication knowledge, understanding, and skills for enhancing organizational relationships. The goal of this sequence is to equip the student to successfully use communication as a tool to enhance organizational outcomes. Students will gain an understanding of how communication processes can be used to manage behaviors in an organizational context while becoming a competent communicator.

Economics - Managerial Economics
Managerial Economics goes beyond the limits of traditional economics and business majors, blending a thorough grounding in economic theory with business knowledge and applications. Students in the Managerial Economics sequence receive in-depth training to economics and quantitative methods, problem-solving strategies, critical thinking and effective communication skills.

Biology
This sequence in Biological Sciences is for students interested in many fields of science including Zoology, Animal Behavior, Botany, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Evolution, Physiology, Genetics, Microbiology, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Parasitology, Neurobiology, and Immunology.

The organizational leadership sequence helps students develop those skills and aptitudes necessary for success and leadership positions in business and not-for-profit organizations in the 21st century. The development of one's skills working with people and groups as well as decision making is at the focus of this program of study. Since the sequence focuses on these people skills and decision-making abilities, it is applicable to a wide or general range of companies and managers.

Organizational leadership concentrates on the knowledge and skill development to become an effective manager. Coursework provides theoretical, experiential and practical knowledge and skills relative to problem solving, decision making, behavior of people and groups in organizations, teamwork, managerial philosophy and style, organizational design, culture, and change as well as related topics.

Family and Consumer Sciences - Fashion Merchandising
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers a Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a sequence in Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM). The sequence is designed for professionals seeking advanced study in this area.

This sequence option is most appropriate for individuals interested in careers in the fashion design and merchandising field who have related degrees such as business, especially marketing, public relations, art, and design.

Family and Consumer Sciences graduate students with an interest in the FDM field can choose among seventeen courses that could be included as part of their graduate degree program. The courses offered are in two concentration areas; Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Product Design and Production.

Technology and Engineering Education prepares you to be a leader in public schools. Students develop technological literacy through coursework and experiences with robotics, electronics, biotechnologies, manufacturing computer-aided design (CAD), and more. This program is ideal for those who like to solve problems, work with their hands, and want to work with school-aged children.
