The Master of Music in Jazz Performance program prepares students to improve as a jazz performer and improviser. The curriculum includes:

German Teacher Education
Our nationally accredited German Teacher Education major prepares graduates for K-12 teaching while offering a dynamic interdisciplinary approach for exploring the German-speaking world.

You'll have the opportunity to study literature, examine fairy tales or popular song texts, and learn about the latest developments in the European Union. German coursework prepares students to achieve Advanced-Low or higher proficiency, an endeavor supported by study abroad programs in Paderborn or Bonn, Germany. Co-curricular activities, carried out by the German Club and the German Honor Society, also help students develop their speaking skills and learn more about German-speaking communities.

The Agribusiness sequence includes courses in agriculture, agribusiness, economics and business. Mathematics Teacher Education
As a student in the Mathematics Education program at Illinois State University, you will be challenged, tested, supported, and you will be rewarded.

You will be challenged to extend your knowledge and experience in mathematics through courses taken by students completing other sequences within the department's major, as well as through courses in education. You will become a mathematician, and you will become a teacher.

Health and Human Performance
Exercise Science is the study of movement and the associated functional responses and adaptations the body makes as a result of movement/exercise.

The Health and Human Performance (HHP) sequence gives you a well-rounded foundation in areas of Exercise Science, including physiology, biomechanics, and sports psychology. HHP also studies how different exercises and fitness programs affect the human body.

Biology Teacher Education
The School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University has a longstanding tradition in training biology teachers. Students complete a rigorous program that includes professional education courses as well as laboratory-intensive biology coursework. Students will become licensed to teach all high school science courses (biology, physics, chemistry, and earth science), including AP and honors biology.

Public Service is a 32-hour sequence of the master's degree in Political Science. The Public Service sequence is designed for students interested in employment in the public sector, particularly at the state and local level.
