Crop Science and Soil Science
Want to get your hands dirty while making a difference? Our students work on solving the most complex agricultural and natural resource problems faced in Oregon, our nation and across the globe. Students who want to make a measurable difference in our communities are perfect candidates for a degree in either crop science or soil science. Graduates of our program, in demand across the United States, typically have several job offers by the time that they graduate.

Our Master's International Direct pairs a Direct Entry I-20 with customized support during the first term of students' graduate studies in MEng Civil Engineering. Students will benefit from increased support throughout the predeparture and academic journey as they study alongside domestic students.

The School of Civil and Construction Engineering offers graduate work leading to the Master of Engineering degree offer concentrations in civil engineering, coastal and ocean engineering, construction, engineering education, geomatics, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure materials, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, and interdisciplinary areas.

Animal Sciences
Both commodity and companion, domesticated animals provide humans with food, fiber, labor and emotional support. So, it makes sense that we need experts to keep them as healthy and productive as possible. This is where animal scientists come in.

Animal scientists help put food on our tables. They partner with farmers to improve livestock breeding, ensure adequate nutrition over the animal’s lifespan and prevent disease. They look out for the environmental impact of animal agriculture, check meat and milk for pathogens, find better ways to manage rangeland and even study the ways our house pets communicate with us.

As an expert in animal biology and behavior, you’ll spend your days improving the way we keep and employ the animals in our care. Cattle, swine, sheep or fowl, what animal agriculture, recreation and companionship may look like a decade from now well, that could be up to you!

The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

Computer Science
Computer science is the study of algorithms and problem solving. These problems apply to every scientific, engineering, and mathematical field, making computer scientists relevant in every professional field today. A computer science degree at Oregon State can give you the skills to program a custom low level sensor board all the way up to coordinating cloud datacenters full of servers.

Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is the design, construction, and maintenance of public works, including roads, bridges, harbors, etc. At Oregon State University our programs in civil engineering prepare students to become working professional civil engineering and academic researchers who study civil engineering problems. Our civil engineering undergraduate program offers a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) degree where students receive general instruction in all disciplines, with the option for additional elective courses in desired areas.
