Geology is the study of the materials, processes, and history of the solid Earth and its fluid envelopes. Geology is an integrative field, drawing on mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology to understand the interactions of the lithosphere, biosphere, atmosphere and hydrosphere. Studies in geology commonly combine observations and measurements from field, laboratory, and computational studies. Geology plays an important role in decisions about resource use, slope stability and the safety of building projects, natural hazards standards, mineral exploration and extraction, the basic workings of the Earth, and the understanding of the effects and rates of natural and human-induced change in the environment.

Bioengineering
Bioengineering is an interdisciplinary field that applies engineering principles and quantitative methods to the advancement of knowledge at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and system levels, and to the development of new biologicals, materials, devices, and processes.

Oregon State University and the University of Oregon have partnered to offer joint Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Bioengineering, giving students the opportunity to work with faculty advisors at either campus. Natural Resources
Oregon State University's natural resources undergraduate degree program will provide you technical skills and scientific knowledge that spans various natural resources and social science disciplines. As a natural resources major, you will study the science and management of resources such as fish and wildlife, forests, range and water, as well as the development of sustainable environmental policies and human dimensions of natural resources. Electrical and Computer Engineering
The field of electrical and computer engineering is revolutionizing technology and impacting diverse areas such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, forestry, health care, renewable energy and robotics. The ECE curriculum includes hand-on learning in which students get to apply their knowledge of electrical and computer engineering to create their own robot. In an introductory class, students build a TekBot and as they progress through the program they add more functions to their robot.
