The Environmental Sciences Graduate Program develops scientists who will be able to analyze and understand environmental systems, predict environmental change, and participate in the management of the environment. Each student completing a major in the program will perform research and complete a thesis, dissertation, or research project. Each student will also develop depth in a carefully designed, interdisciplinary area of concentration or track. Tracks that are currently available include ecology, biogeochemistry, social science, quantitative analysis, water resources, and environmental education. Methods and numerical skill courses, electives, and thesis make up the remainder of a student’s program.

Graduate studies in Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University emphasize the understanding of fundamental scientific and engineering principles to manage and solve environmental problems in natural and engineering systems. Our design and innovation management major will help you build the skills you need for a management role in design-related fields across many areas of industry, including large and small companies.

Our design and innovation management degree focuses on the intersection of design and business, bringing together analytic and creative problem-solving skills. You'll focus on how design can be integrated into an organization from a management and strategic perspective and learn the value that design and innovation can bring to an organization.

You'll learn to integrate and focus on the role of design in the creation and management of strategic, sustainable business advantages and customer solutions.

Your career skills are rounded out with fundamentals such as project management, principles of marketing, design thinking and process innovation, retail management, ethics and corporate social responsibility as well as the fundamentals of visual arts and art history.
