Speech Communication
The speech communication undergraduate program is focused on developing and enhancing students' communication skills through speeches and presentations, while studying communication concepts. Outcomes:

• Demonstrate understanding and the value of communication competence in public speaking, argumentation and critical discourse, and interpersonal communication as they pertain to personal and professional activities and contexts.
• Articulate relevant theory and research in the contexts of their practical applications.
• Recognize the social, cultural and historical significance of rhetoric and other communication phenomena.
• Be prepared to pursue further professional or academic endeavors in one’s selected communication discipline.

Our Master's International Direct pairs a Direct Entry I-20 with customized support during the first term of students' graduate studies in MEng Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students will benefit from increased support throughout the predeparture and academic journey as they study alongside domestic students.

Management
The management curriculum helps prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in goods-producing and service enterprises. Management is the process of planning, organizing, leading and controlling all that encompasses human, material and financial resources in an organizational environment. Fisheries and Wildlife Science
For students earning their first or second (post baccalaureate) Bachelor's degree the BS in Fisheries and Wildlife (FW) Sciences offers first-rate training in processes and strategies for the management and conservation of fish, wildlife, and marine species and their habitats.  Students in our degree program learn to think critically and evaluate problems using basic and applied science and fundamental ecological principles, and through consideration of social influences on conservation.

This graduate program combines a strong social science faculty with a strong biological and ecological science faculty and so provides an unusual opportunity to focus on the interface of social science and ecology. The FES graduate program provides specific disciplinary opportunities in both ecological and social sciences in the natural resource setting but also strives to develop interdisciplinary skills and knowledge. Our program objective is to develop interdisciplinary thinkers, highly capable scientists, and natural resource leaders who are prepared to solve complex socio-ecological problems. The students will be able to identify and contribute to collaborative solutions in ecology and natural resources-related social science.

The tourism and outdoor recreation industries are among the largest in the world and continue to grow in Oregon and throughout the nation. As a TRAL graduate, you will be a leader, educator and entrepreneur in our most important natural spaces. The Department of Physics offers courses and research experience leading to the master of arts, master of science, and doctor of philosophy degrees. Advanced-degree candidates may pursue thesis research in experimental, computational, or theoretical condensed matter physics, optical physics, biophysics, high energy physics, astrophysics, and physics education research. Special programs are available for students who are preparing for careers in undergraduate teaching. Thesis and nonthesis programs are offered leading to the M.S. and M.A. degrees.

The department maintains a vigorous colloquium program in which well-known physicists present lectures on current research. Students are invited to participate in topical seminars offered regularly in each of the major research areas for the discussion of research results and for studies of specialized subjects at an advanced level.

Public Health
We offer the most comprehensive range of accredited public health graduate degree program in Oregon and are gaining momentum and enthusiasm as the state’s first accredited college of public health. Our public health program is built on the foundation of environmental health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, social and behavioral sciences, and health management and policy.
