Public Health
We offer the most comprehensive range of accredited public health graduate degree program in Oregon and are gaining momentum and enthusiasm as the state’s first accredited college of public health. Our interdisciplinary approach, research centers and focus on both rural and urban health will enrich your educational experience and set you apart in this evolving profession.

Our public health program is built on the foundation of environmental health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, social and behavioral sciences, and health management and policy. Our curricula incorporate an ecological approach to disease prevention and health promotion, including cultural, social, environmental, behavioral and economic factors that impact population health.

We offer an array of concentrations representing the varied disciplines of public health practice. Through our academic programs and diverse range of research endeavors, you will gain the theoretical foundations, applied research techniques and professional skills to function effectively in reducing risks, promoting health and preventing premature disease and disability in human populations.

Interior Design
Interior Design considers the design of the immediate physical environment. Interior designers plan the inside places of homes, public buildings and commercial establishments. They analyze clients' needs and requirements, lay out space, prepare working drawings and specify interior materials and finishes. They also work to develop appropriate heating and lighting plans, prepare budgets and construction drawings and supervise the installation of the design project.

Business Administration
The business administration degree provides students with a broad overview of business; basic skills in accounting and quantitative methods; an understanding of the legal and social environment of business; a background in management and organizational behavior, marketing, finance, and operations management; an understanding of the entrepreneurial process; and the opportunity to integrate course work and further develop decision-making skills through the analysis of business cases.

In the School of Writing, Literature, and Film we pride ourselves on providing vibrant and forward-looking learning environments for the study of textual disciplines and complex literacies.

We offer full funding to all of our graduate students through graduate teaching assistantships, grants, and fellowships. Graduate students also have opportunities for internships in a wide variety of interdisciplinary programs and centers, including the Writing Intensive Curriculum, the Center for the Humanities, and the OSU Libraries and Press.

The Department of Botany and Plant Pathology offers graduate programs leading to M.S. degrees that prepare students for a variety of future employment opportunities. Our graduates are employed in both the public and private sector by local, state, national or international employers.

Kinesiology
In our program, you’ll be immersed in the interdisciplinary study of physical activity and its effect on human health, disease prevention and quality of life. You’ll acquire a scientific foundation of chemistry, anatomy, physiology, nutrition and public health, and gain an understanding of the physiological, psychological, biomechanical and motor-behavioral bases of physical activity, exercise and sport. You’ll also be well prepared for professional certifications in fitness and conditioning — such as those from ACSM and NSCA — as well as for graduate study in the field.

Rangeland Sciences
Through hands-on course work, experiential learning opportunities and applied learning of rangeland ecology and management, Oregon State University’s B.S. in Rangeland Sciences degree program will prepare you to pursue high-demand, outdoor career opportunities on both private and public lands in areas such as soil and water conservation, managing for ecosystem goods and services, wildlife habitat management and sustainable land stewardship. The base program is designed to meet required coursework for federal employment as a Rangeland Specialist, and with a few other specific courses graduates may also meet requirements for Soil Conservationists and a few other 400-series federal positions.

The Digital Communication Arts degree focuses on the storytelling capacity of media and prepares students to be successful navigators of ever-changing technology. Students in this major will learn alternative writing approaches, nonlinear storytelling, multiple formats, and how mediated storytelling affects the story itself. They investigate how our culture will change as people shift from multiple streams of communication to information flow on a single device, and how the structures of traditional media will adapt. Courses focus on several dimensions of media adoption and adaptation including access and inclusivity, personalization and privacy, science and business. New media requires continuous research and development. Practitioners will need to be prepared to be life-long learners.

Marine Studies
Are you interested in pursuing studies about social, political, and cultural issues? Do you want to explore the relationships between humans and the environment while learning about the coasts and ocean?

The College of Liberal Art's Marine Studies Degree will focus on the social, political, and cultural issues of coasts and oceans in the context of a meaningful understanding of marine natural science. Students will receive a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
