But the field’s area of study has grown dramatically in recent decades in keeping with the rapid pace of biotechnological advances. Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with alternative certification is designed to enable students who have undergraduate degrees in content areas and were not education majors to seek Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification via an alternative route. This degree is designed to offer students expanded knowledge in content areas and pedagogy, current educational practices, and the processes of teaching and learning.

Chemical Biology and Pharmacology

Athletic Training
Saint Louis University's athletic training program offers an early-assurance 3+2 graduate professional program. Students earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science after the completion of four years and then a Master of Athletic Training (M.A.T.) after successful completion of an additional post-baccalaureate year. Students may also enter the program as an undergraduate transfer student or as a post-baccalaureate. The athletic training program has an interprofessional focus with a curriculum that develops a team approach to health care. 

Saint Louis University's Department of Theological Studies trains students in a variety of sources and methods to help them evaluate and appreciate the most vital aspects of religious experience and thought. The department enters into this investigation from an academic perspective with the aim of helping students clarify their own understanding.
The Catholic tradition is central to the work of the department, but Catholicism is studied in the context of the whole Christian tradition and in relationship to all of the world’s religious traditions.

Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Biostatistics degree is offered through the College for Public Health and Social Justice, which is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. Using the American Statistical Association's guidelines for undergraduate data science programs, the curriculum trains students in the management, analysis, and interpretation of data within the context of public health and health care. Students gain skills that prepare them to enter the workforce or pursue graduate school after graduation.

Criminology and criminal justice (CCJ) are fields of study that incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the causes and correlates of criminal behavior as well as the institutions that respond to such behavior. A degree in criminology and criminal justice provides a comprehensive academic foundation into the nature of criminal offending, victimization, law enforcement, court administration, the law, and both community and institutional corrections.
