You’ll begin by learning the foundations of public relations, including its history, theory, trends, and practices. You’ll take courses in professional writing, digital and social media, web design, and event planning and promotion. Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy offers a variety of courses in which you'll study the principles of critical thinking and argumentation that help us address these questions. Here you can take classes on topics from logic to the philosophy of art, from existentialism to environmental ethics, from feminism to the philosophy of race and gender. We also feature courses outside the western tradition, including Chinese philosophy, Buddhism, African philosophy, and Native American religion. In advanced seminars, you'll delve into the works of the great philosophers—Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Heidegger, Wittgenstein, and others.

Corporate Accounting and Finance
The Corporate Accounting & Finance major combines finance principles with accounting practices to prepare you for a career in corporate finance. This major provides students with a strong background in financial accounting in addition to financial analysis and decision making that is required for positions such as CFO or financial manager.

Students will develop an understanding of capital structure, financial planning and analysis, and project valuation which will help them determine where and how to invest corporate funds.

The Finance major focuses on the evolving demands of the global financial environment. You'll be introduced to the latest educational technology, including Compustat, CRSP, StockTrak, Bloomberg, and Morningstar. Our trading room provides a simulated environment where you can analyze the latest stock quotes and compare currency exchange rates, just as professional traders do.

And you’ll learn from faculty who have real-world business experience at companies such as Ford Motor Company, Rho-Theta Associates, and Delta Partners LLC. Your professors offer a first-hand global perspective, having lived, worked, and studied in countries like Tunisia, China, Uganda, and Iran.
