The Department of Philosophy offers a variety of courses in which you'll study the principles of critical thinking and argumentation that help us address these questions. The Master of Science in Medical Dosimetry (MSMD) at Suffolk University combines coursework and hands-on clinical training that will prepare you for an entry level dosimetry position.

Medical dosimetrists are integral members of the radiation oncology team who create computerized treatment plans and perform dose calculations for patients undergoing radiation therapy. As “architects” of radiation therapy, they design plans to deliver a curative dose to tumors while limiting exposure to nearby healthy organs.

At Suffolk, you will learn from expert board-certified dosimetrists and physicists at top Boston hospitals who provide didactic and clinical instruction. Our competency-based clinical curriculum incorporates the latest planning techniques including 3D, IMRT, VMAT, brachytherapy, stereotactic, and proton therapy. You will be prepared to be a clinically competent professional who can communicate effectively, think critically, and engage in evidence-based practice.

Supervised clinical rotations are completed at our affiliates including Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), MGH Newton Wellesley, Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center, MGH North Shore Cancer Center, Beth Israel-Lahey Health, and Rhode Island Hospital. The variety of clinical sites ensures exposure to working in a major academic center as well as a smaller community setting.

You can earn your MSF degree in as few as nine months through a customized track that lets you focus on a career-relevant curriculum.

Finance
The Finance major focuses on the evolving demands of the global financial environment. You'll be introduced to the latest educational technology, including Compustat, CRSP, StockTrak, Bloomberg, and Morningstar. Our trading room provides a simulated environment where you can analyze the latest stock quotes and compare currency exchange rates, just as professional traders do.

Suffolk University's biology major is especially collaborative and career-focused. Many of your classes will have fewer than 20 students, and you'll benefit from your professors' individual attention, thanks to our low faculty-to-student ratio.

Your experiences in our classrooms and labs will teach you scientific research methods and reporting; your experiences interning at Boston's premier hospitals and research facilities will deepen your knowledge and broaden your network.

At Suffolk, you can earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Biology, depending on your area of focus. Concentration in Biotechnology

Suffolk's Theatre Department is student-centered. Advertising
The skills you need to succeed in the fast-paced, competitive world of advertising. The creativity to dream up buzz-worthy campaigns. You'll hone both as a Suffolk University advertising major.

You’ll learn advertising industry basics, including how to create ads and plan campaigns that appeal to industry brands and nonprofits' target markets. You’ll build ads from the ground-up, writing copy and designing visual elements. Plus, you'll study the fundamentals of media planning and buying as they apply to television, radio, print, online, and social media advertising.
