At Suffolk, you can earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Biology, depending on your area of focus. You’ll begin with a well-rounded assortment of courses in both the lab and classroom focusing on evolution, genetics, ecology, bioethics, and physiology. If you have a specific professional interest, you might choose one of our three concentration options.

Concentration in Biotechnology
This concentration focuses on molecular and microbiology, with a special emphasis on hands-on laboratory opportunities between your sophomore and junior year. You’ll be well-prepared for a career in research or medicine.

International Year One in Business will prepare you to enter your next semester of a bachelor’s degree program at Suffolk University.

Upon successful completion of International Year One and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of undergraduate study at Suffolk University. This transition from an INTO Suffolk program to a university degree program is called progression.

Global Business
Students can combine a major in Global Business with one functional area, such as accounting, business economics, big data and business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, management, information systems, or wealth management.

Whichever option you choose, you'll learn a foreign language, travel the globe, and explore internship opportunities. With so many double major combinations and study abroad options, you can tailor your degree to meet your career goals.

Sociology is a social science that studies our behavior as social beings. It covers everything from the analysis of short contacts between anonymous individuals to the study of global social processes. Often, sociologists are driven to understand and improve the lives of others.

An INTO Suffolk Graduate Pathway program in Finance will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master’s degree program at Suffolk University.

Upon successful completion of an INTO Suffolk Pathway program and meeting university requirements for graduate admission, students may enter their second semester of graduate study at Suffolk University. This transition from an INTO Suffolk Pathway program to a university degree program is called progression.

Finance
Suffolk’s MSF degree gives you a high-level understanding of corporate finance, portfolio management, investment banking, and international finance, among other topics. You can earn your MSF degree in as few as nine months through a customized track that lets you focus on a career-relevant curriculum.

Our STEM-designated program is affiliated with the CFA Institute and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) to provide the highest level of practice-driven insight to ensure that students are prepared for the demands of the global financial industry.

Investments
Provides excellent preparation to analyze investments, construct investment portfolios, and advise clients on investment selection and portfolio strategy.

Corporate Accounting and Finance
The Corporate Accounting & Finance major combines finance principles with accounting practices to prepare you for a career in corporate finance. This major provides students with a strong background in financial accounting in addition to financial analysis and decision making that is required for positions such as CFO or financial manager.

Students will develop an understanding of capital structure, financial planning and analysis, and project valuation which will help them determine where and how to invest corporate funds.

With a physics major, you can study the universe from the largest galaxies to the smallest particles. Physics incorporates other sciences, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, and engineering. With this versatile degree, your job search will have forward momentum.

Get a comprehensive look at communication and business—and how they intersect. When you pair Suffolk University's Master of Arts in Communication (MAC) with a concentration in integrated marketing communication, you'll take your graduate studies to the next level.

Chemistry
You’ll follow a course of study endorsed by the American Chemical Society (ACS), which is highly respected in the field. You may also join Suffolk's award-winning ACS student chapter. Students involved in this co-curricular activity host speakers and enjoy participating in community service projects, for example volunteering at the nearby Museum of Science or the Boston Children’s Museum. Additionally, opportunities may be available to attend ACS regional and national meetings to learn about current research from experts in the field and even present your own research.

This program is ideal if you hope to go on to a research career or to graduate school. Plus, you'll have the skills to thrive in high-demand fields like pharmaceuticals, environmental health, and manufacturing.
