Suffolk’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program offers a high-touch experiential curriculum, based on strong collaboration between students, faculty, and industry clients.

Sociology is a social science that studies our behavior as social beings. It covers everything from the analysis of short contacts between anonymous individuals to the study of global social processes. Often, sociologists are driven to understand and improve the lives of others.

Concentration in Crime and Justice
Criminal justice will provide you with a rigorous study of criminal justice systems and community responses to crime. Our interactive approach to learning focuses on fostering an understanding of crime and the principles of social scientific research. Throughout your studies, you will examine how illegal behavior is defined, with special attention to how social inequalities of race, class, gender, sexuality, and age shape what is seen as crime and what is seen as justice. The intersections of criminal justice and social justice are emphasized in our curriculum.

An interdisciplinary major that draws from three academic departments, PPE will give you a foundation in policy, ethics, and economics. The creative writing concentration will develop your creative thinking and imaginative writing skills in three genres: poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Intensive workshops in these genres will allow you to join a community of writers engaged in the task of finding their voices and making their words come alive on the page. You will learn about the world of literary publishing and the skills of editing, revising, and submitting your work that may one day make you a publish writer.
