Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management glean knowledge from a range of disciplines and position themselves to become industry and entrepreneurial leaders. Engineering management majors learn to recognize the need for improved manufacturing processes and understand customer demand for new products and technologies. They craft a skillset steeped in the business management side of engineering while also focusing on one of the University of Arizona's specific engineering majors. Communication is the scientific study of how humans interact with one another. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Communication program examine the processes and effects of communication in four areas: interpersonal, mass, health and social influence. Develop expert-level language proficiency in one of the largest and most influential global economies. In the Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies program, students select from one of two focuses in language or culture. The Chinese Language Intensive focus provides instruction on three levels, from beginning to advanced, plus specialized instruction in advanced reading, writing and conversation. Students learn to communicate effectively and read proficiently.  The department offers a summer study abroad program in Hangzhou, where students learn about China's dynamic Buddhist tea culture while staying in a monastery connected to the Hangzhou Buddhist Academy.

Urban and Regional Development is the study of economic development and sustainability of our built and natural environments. This Bachelor of Science addresses questions of urban and regional growth, location of economic activity, land development and real estate. Students learn to analyze data, use cartographic and geographic information systems and gain hands-on training in the field. Additionally, students learn interactively in remote-sensing laboratories. Upon graduation, they enter the workforce with directly applicable skills such as teamwork and collaboration; analytical research; a working knowledge of industry software; design; strategic thinking; and understanding of planning law and legislation.

Explore the foundations of criminal justice ?thoroughly examining critical topics such as mental health law, youth in the justice system, public policy and national security. Criminal Justice Studies touches on all factors related to crime, the law and the justice system. Coursework introduces students to police, court and corrections operations; crime and public policy; juvenile justice; mental health law; white-collar crime; national security; and intelligence policies. Sponsored by the Rombach Institute on Crime, Delinquency and Corrections, this Bachelor of Science program helps students develop the ability to think critically about criminal justice issues, a necessity in an increasingly complex and politicized society. Other career-ready skills that students develop throughout their course studies include leadership, ethics and management.

The study of information science and arts uses a solid mathematical and technical foundation to emphasize computational arts, such as creative coding and digital storytelling. The Bachelor of Arts in Information Science and Arts consists of coursework organized into three tiers: core classes (computer programming, digital ethics, statistics, fundamentals of information science); research methods, data analysis and intensive computing; and advanced techniques customized to each student's interest. Students enjoy access to laser cutters, 3D printers and other technologies in the new rapid prototyping lab, and they can harness their creativity into a highly specific technical expertise.

The Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with an emphasis in Human Biology helps students forge a path in various roles in the fields of human and animal medicine: doctor, nurse, midwife, veterinarian, zoologist. Neuroscience and cognitive science are broad areas of scientific study. Students seeking the Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a Thematic emphasis can choose an in-depth topical focus that matches their future career, research or study goals. The Thematic emphasis is meant for students who have a clear and compelling interest in a particular topic area in neuroscience and cognitive science that falls outside the scope of the major's several other emphases. Students wishing to choose a Thematic focus will be required to explain to faculty what the topic area is and why it doesn't align with the current emphases, as well as support the objectives of their coursework. As with the other emphases, research and independent study can be used for up to six of the 15 credits required to complete an emphasis.
