Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering take coursework in advanced chemistry, thermodynamics, fluids, heat, and mass transfer, numerical methods, separation processes, reacting systems, instrumentation, control, and plant and product design. Students must also satisfactorily complete a design project as part of their major. Chemical engineering students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in required departmental courses. Therefore, it is imperative that the students retain close contact with their advisor. Students completing this major normally initiate their careers in manufacturing, environmental, and biological enterprises. Chemical engineers are found in administrative, technical, and research positions in these industries. Main products of these industries are petrochemicals, polymers, fibers, natural and synthetic fuels, electronic materials, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, bio-materials, etc.

Mechanical Engineering
Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering take coursework in thermodynamics, heat transfer, instrumentation, measurements, computer-aided design, solid and fluid mechanics, dynamics, machine analysis and design, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, vibrations and controls. This is supplemented by elective coursework in such areas as sustainability, internal combustion engines, refrigeration and air conditioning, mechanical design, robotics, propulsion, manufacturing, bio-engineering, alternative energy, thermal design, composite materials, and tribology. Laboratories are available for basic instrumentation, thermal and fluid sciences, solid mechanics, data acquisition, controls, CAD/CAE, and vibrations. Architecture-M.Arch.
The USF School of Architecture & Community Design's curriculum prepares its graduates for a full range of professional activities. The Master of Architecture degree (M. Arch.) is fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The school's course of study emphasizes urban architecture and related topics to take advantage of its diverse metropolitan setting in Florida's Tampa Bay region. Its sequence of design studios provides an integrating element in a curriculum offering a broad mix of history, theory, technology, and professional practice along with an array of elective courses.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers a non?thesis option for the degree of Master of Science in Information Technology (M.S.I.T). Cell and Molecular Biology
The Cell and Molecular Biology degree program will provide a strong foundation in general biology with an emphasis on biomedical-related areas, and focusing on the cellular and molecular processes that occur within cells. Many recent breakthroughs in this field have shed light on how cells function in the context of the whole organism. The fields of genomics/computational biology are contributing knowledge to underlying gene regulation, cell-cell interactions, and organismal-environmental interactions. Advances in cell and molecular biology are leading to new treatments for age-related diseases including cancer.

The Masters of Science degree in Secondary STEM Education cultivates and trains teachers in STEM programs (science, technology, engineering and math) to both create STEM-related experiences that excite and interest students of all backgrounds and to support states and school districts in their efforts   to transform schools into vibrant STEM learning environments. The program engages secondary school science and mathematics teachers in ways to improve their content knowledge and enhance pedagogical skills in teaching mathematics and science and prepares secondary grades mathematics and science teachers for roles as teacher leaders; and, prepares secondary school STEM teachers to inspire and teach students to be successful in STEM education, thereby increasing the number of individuals capable of filling critically important STEM-related  career positions.
