Chemistry
The Chemistry B.A. gives students exposure to analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry while providing the flexibility to take additional elective courses. Students interested in professional, law, or graduate school or those who anticipate working in careers related to secondary education or business will find this degree attractive. The B.A. student whose goals include graduate study should supplement this curriculum by addition and/or substitution of a selection of advanced courses from the B.S. program. The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry provides opportunities for curricula individually tailored to meet many career objectives.

The M.A. in Economics prepares students for careers as professional economists in business and government. It is also excellent preparation for continued graduate study in economics.

Statistics
Statistics is a science of information gathering, data analysis, and decision making. It is a discipline that blends the applied with the theoretical and our courses reflect this mix. These courses provide an excellent preparation for careers in industrial statistics, actuarial science, biostatistics, and statistical research.

Forensic Science and Justice
The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Studies and Justice provides pre-law and law enforcement-minded students with a critical analytical education to help improve the use of evidence in investigations, especially in the criminal justice system. The major teaches about forensic applications in criminal justice, cognitive biases, structured analytical techniques, and case study analysis within a systems thinking paradigm to provide a solid background to reduce errors in and improve investigations. The objective of the undergraduate major in Forensic Studies and Justice is to develop a sound educational basis either for law school, graduate work, or professional training in one or more of the technical areas comprising the modern criminal justice system, like investigators, analysts, agents, or technicians at the local, state, and federal levels. By tailoring electives, students can create areas of professional emphasis like white collar crime, human trafficking, victims’ advocates, environmental crimes, and others.

The major leading to the accredited Master of Architecture  degree is intended for students who have completed baccalaureate degrees in architecure or pre-professional majors.  Students with non-architectural majors or with a pre­ professional undergraduate major may also enter the program once pre-requisites are completed.. The comprehensive and rigorous curriculum prepares graduates for a full range of professional activities. The course of study emphasizes urban architecture and related topics to take advantage of its diverse metropolitan setting in Florida’s Tampa Bay.

The School of Architecture  and Community Design (SACD) is home to the Florida Center for Community Design and Research, is a non-profit public service institute  of the School of Architecture and Community Design. It was founded in 1986 to  assist the  citizens of Florida in the  creation  of more  livable and sustainable communities  through  applied community  design, multi-disciplinary research, and public education. The diverse staff includes architecture faculty and students,research scientists, and programmer analysts. In addition, the Center has affiliated faculty or graduate students from the Department of Anthropology, Biology, Fine Arts, Geography, and Social Work.

The degree in Physical Sciences will prepare students for employment in technical fields requiring a background in one or more of the physical sciences.

Electrical Engineering-M.S.
The faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department at USF takes great pride in providing a high quality education to our more than 400 graduate students and invites you to consider joining us in advancing the frontiers of knowledge. Our student body is diverse, our research spans experimental and theoretical studies of many fundamental areas of electrical engineering, and we enjoy strong partnerships throughout industry and with prominent national laboratories and federal agencies. The faculty of electrical engineering hails from some of the finest institutions in the country, and includes NSF CAREER Award winners, Fellows of the IEEE and AAAS, Distinguished University Professors, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Many serve in national leadership roles in technical societies such as the IEEE, have industry experience to complement their academic backgrounds, and lend their expertise to federal agencies such as The National Science Foundation and The National Institutes of Health. Quantitative Economics and Econometrics
The B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics is a baccalaureate degree focusing on the more analytical and applied aspects of economics, including forecasting, program and business evaluation, benefit/cost analysis and economic impact analysis.

Microbiology-M.S.

Entrepreneurship
A major in Entrepreneurship is intended for those students interested in the possibility of self-venturing or who may someday work in an entrepreneurial firm. Upon completion of this major, students will be especially prepared to leverage their knowledge to work in management positions within high growth, innovative firms or to take their own idea to market. This major utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to education thus providing a well-rounded knowledge of business.

Students will learn the creative nature of idea/opportunity identification and evaluation, the unique skills necessary to build an entrepreneurial firm, and the ability to interact with local community resources and mentors.
