Students in the Agribusiness Management program at Montana State learn how to apply economic and business principles to the organization, operation and management of agricultural enterprises. Students within the Animal Systems program at Montana State start their studies with a strong foundation in coursework on chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology and genetics during the first two years of the program. From there, students will apply both molecular and cellular biological concepts and associated techniques to address problems facing animal production systems.

Housed within the Civil Engineering department at Montana State, the Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering is intended to address the demand for classically trained engineers with focus on environmental, municipal and industrial processes and strengths in water chemistry, fluid mechanics and hydraulics. The Mathematics Education graduate program at Montana State is an online graduate program designed to challenge candidates’ mathematical thinking and ignite their enthusiasm for secondary school mathematics teaching. Designed with working teachers in mind, the Mathematics Education program provides opportunities for teachers to apply what they’re learning in the program directly to their classrooms with projects that engage teachers and their students in exploring new mathematics content.

In the Mathematics graduate program at Montana State, candidates work in a variety of areas including real and complex analysis, applied mathematics, dynamical systems, mathematical biology, mathematical imaging and probability.
