High school Spanish teachers provide beginning, intermediate and advanced courses that cover speaking, listening and writing in Spanish. They also provide education in the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries and may also teach Spanish literature.
The BS in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Modern Foreign Language – Spanish, prepares students to teach in K-12 settings. This program requires the selection and completion of required coursework in Spanish and includes field and practicum experiences in high school settings, culminating in Missouri teacher certification.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.
A student can participate in three types of Optional Practical Training (OPT):

The BSBA, Finance Emphasis degree is a 120-credit hour program that requires at least 48-credit hours in business courses, with a minimum of 18-credit hours in Finance courses. The core business classes include financial and managerial accounting, legal environment of business, information systems concepts, business analytics and statistics, supply chain management, financial management, management and organizational behavior, marketing and strategic management. Once you've completed the required courses, you can customize your degree with business electives or even select a minor.
Graduates of the BSBA, Finance Emphasis will be prepared to enter the workforce and succeed locally and globally across various industries. The finance curriculum prepares you for careers in corporate financial management and the financial services industry.

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Cybersecurity is an interdisciplinary program jointly provided by the departments of Information Systems and Technology (College of Business Administration) and Computer Science (College of Arts and Sciences).
The Computer Science emphasis builds on the foundation of an undergraduate cybersecurity or computer science degree and expects students to have prior background in foundational computer science areas or complete some foundational courses upon entry. This emphasis is designed to be focused on technical aspects of cybersecurity and provides greater depth than that afforded at an undergraduate level.

The Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language, with an Emphasis in French develops linguistically and culturally competent and ready-to-be global citizens. The BES, with an emphasis in Exercise Science and Wellness, builds on science and mathematics courses in the general education requirements with courses on anatomy & physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, safety and emergency care, physical activity program design, nutrition and adult exercise leadership. You’ll be prepared to sit for certification examinations, such as those offered by the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of American and the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers.

The BS in Sport Management is an interdisciplinary, professional degree program that prepares students for a wide array of sport-related careers. You can choose from three emphasis areas: public administration, nonprofit management and public policy.
