Students majoring in Health and Fitness Studies may pursue interest in such areas as personal training, strength and conditioning training, worksite wellness, health promotions, fitness centers, and graduate school. The B.A. in art requires an exposure to two-dimensional and three-dimensional media and art history. It can lead to graduate study in art, art history, art therapy or other academic or professional areas.

Students who wish to pursue the PK-12 teaching certificate will also include two methods courses in addition to the requirements for the B.A. in Art: ART 1000 Art in the PK-Elementary School and ART 2000 Art in the Secondary School, for a total of 58 hours in Art. Students will also take additional courses in the department of Education (Secondary Education Endorsement) to meet Nebraska certification education requirements.

You’ll add experience through study abroad, language learning and service as well as through Nebraska Wesleyan’s diverse forum speakers, campus events and student groups.

The department offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Philosophy and Religion. If a student has a first major that requires a Bachelor of Science or other bachelor's degree, the department may approve the Philosophy and Religion major as a second major under the B.S. or other bachelor's degree.

Majors and minors have the option of blending courses between philosophy and religion. Graduating majors will complete a traditional thesis with opportunities for public presentation and publication, or a culminating project with real-world focus and opportunities for practicum.

The Bachelor of Arts degree is designed for those students who want a solid physics education with a broad liberal arts background and will be pursuing further education or employment in fields other than physics or engineering.
