What You’ll Learn
The Life Sciences - Biomedical Engineering, B.S. helps you learn to leverage core biological principles to solve a vast spectrum of medical problems.
With a focus on biomedical engineering, your curriculum covers a range from calculus-based mathematics and anatomy to physiology and biomedical physics. You’ll infuse technology into your program by taking classes in computer programming, electrical circuits and electronics, and microprocessors, preparing you for graduate work in bioengineering.

Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.

Master of Science in Architecture - Computational Technologies
Explore design research at the frontiers of architecture through experimentation in computational design, robotic systems applied to fabrication and interactivity, and materiality. Innovate in design and creatively apply emergent technologies to unconventional spatial investigations resulting in full-scale architectural prototypes and components.
The Master of Science in Architecture, Computational Technologies (M.S.ACT) program is a two-semester (plus summer term), 30-credit, post-professional master's degree. The program integrates critical relationships between science and culture, developing new technologies with a focus on the history and theory of representation, robotics, and cybernetics. You'll learn how to apply, research, and develop advancements in computational design, robotic interaction and fabrication, and new materials.
The M.S.ACT program builds up expertise in three terms (Fall, Spring, Summer), organized as core studios and seminars in three focus areas (Computational Design, Fabrication and Robotics, and Materials) and culminating with an interdisciplinary integrated Project-based Learning Studio in the summer term.

Focused on culturally competent school counseling and social justice, the School Counseling, M.S. helps you become a compassionate, effective advocate for the academic, social, and emotional success of pre-K–12 students.
You’ll gain a broad foundation on prevalent topics in school counseling today, including leadership, group counseling, working with special needs students, college counseling, and school violence prevention. You’ll also acquire the critical experience you need through a practicum and internships under the mentorship of a tenured school counselor in a pre-K–12 school setting.
We also offer a Bilingual Extension, which can be completed simultaneously with your school counseling degree. The extension includes a minimum of six additional credits, as well as bilingual practicum experience to prepare you to work specifically with bilingual/ELL students and their families. NYSED certification will require documented proficiency in the target language by independently passing the New York State Bilingual Assessment (BEA).
