An MBA Concentration in Business Analytics is an ideal option for those that want a career that builds upon their problem-solving strengths and decision making skill sets through the use of data analysis, statistical models, and other quantitative methods. Explore business performance through four types of analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive and learn how to effectively improve business performance through this analysis. Data collection techniques have exploded. Learn how to take this data and transform it into actionable insights and successful and innovative business strategies. Business analytics skills are in demand internationally across all industries. Long term career goals might include positions such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, big data engineer, or data analytics consultant.

Our M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis prepares our graduates with the necessary coursework for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Applied Behavior Analysis is one of the most effective and frequently utilized treatment approaches for individuals with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. The M.S. in Emergency and Threat Response Management meets the pressing need to fill national, state/regional, local, and international leadership gaps that exist in emergency management and homeland security while understanding the growing necessity to build resilience within a whole community approach. Using a multi-hazard approach to the management of disasters and crises, the curriculum balances theory and practice. The curriculum covers operations management, planning and response, civil unrest, and terrorism with additional options for the study of disaster public health and executive leadership. The degree provides students with a global outlook, interpersonal skills and emergency management knowledge and skills. Students will be prepared for emergency management positions in emergency management and homeland security in government and industry.

The Area Studies major invites students to learn about one region of the world from multiple disciplinary perspectives and to gain deep knowledge of that region, skill in a world language, and cultural competence.  All Area Studies majors select one of the following regional concentrations:  Asian Studies, European Studies, or Latin American Studies.  Their coursework focuses on the culture, politics, economics, literature, language(s), and history of their chosen region.  Students also consider their area of concentration—Asia, Europe, or Latin America—within a global frame.  The Area Studies major should appeal to students who want to pursue careers in business, education, advocacy, counseling or social work, law enforcement, government, media and the arts, translation or interpretation, and other sectors.

Our Master of Music provides intensive experiences in performance, conducting, or composition, as well as courses geared to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the literature of your area of concentration - and a greater understanding of music in general. Our program is tailored for aspiring musicians who wish to make a career as a performer, conductor, or composer.

A useful background for students interested in careers in banking and financial institutions, government agencies, and consulting, our program focuses on learning to analyze the world in terms of tradeoffs and incentives — that is, to “think like an economist.”

As an economist, you will study people, firms, governments and markets. While economics can be linked to business, it also pairs well with other fields of study such as psychology, sociology, math, law, journalism and political science.

A  full range of theatre and dance production opportunities complements coursework and allows students to develop performance and production skills by creating live theatre.  All students may participate in the department's annual faculty-directed mainstage and/or student productions. These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Concentration in Design Technical
Intensively study set, light, costume and sound design along with stage management, technical theater, carpentry and electrics. Combine your class design experience with stage work on both our student-produced company and on our main stage while still a student!
