Latin American Studies is a diverse field that bridges the social sciences, natural sciences and humanities in the study of the Americas. The Community Health Promotion program is designed to help you promote good health and prevent disease. You’ll develop the skills needed to be a health education professional who works with the community in a variety of public, private, and professional settings.
Graduates of the MA in Community Health Promotion are trained to:

Assess health status and the need for health education programs.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs.
• Participate in securing funding for programs.
• Coordinate health education activities and resources among agencies.
