Through the Discover Arts and Discover Sciences programs, students take a seminar acquainting them with the University and the College. The seminar will cover the curriculum and careers of each program, as well as the multitude of complementary minors. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of an academic adviser, students discover the program that best suits their needs and goals.

Human rights studies is a nationally-renowned interdisciplinary program that will prepare you to pursue human rights advocacy at local, national and international levels.

Prepare to perform in an opera, musical, recording studio, orchestra, band, chorus, chamber ensemble or as a soloist. The study of history provides students with important skills – including critical reading, writing and thinking – that will make them informed citizens ready to work for the common good. The study of history not only prepares students to participate in civic life, but is also a stepping stone to careers in many diverse fields.

You will learn the musical and historical elements of jazz by studying jazz improvisation, theory, history, composition and arranging by taking weekly jazz lessons in your area of expertise. You also will perform in one of several jazz ensembles and a faculty-coached combo.
