We foster the understanding of language and literature from rhetorical, creative, critical, historical, comparative and global perspectives. With our diverse array of tracks, coupled with our faculty's broad range of expertise, our students can learn anything from British literature, linguistics, grant writing or creative writing.

French and English are the only languages spoken on all five inhabited continents. With 300 million French speakers in the world, the ability to speak French is a career asset for our graduates. French is the official working language of the United Nations, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, the International Olympic Committee and the International Red Cross.

Our B.A. in communication prepares students for professional careers in a wide range of communication fields: broadcasting, communication management, healthcare administration, journalism and public relations. Our graduates succeed in business, education, government, healthcare, international relations, and social and human services. We also offer graduate studies in business communication and law, and an undergraduate certificate in sport communication.

Economics is a social science and as such an important component of the liberal arts curriculum. It provides a useful background for students interested in careers in public policy, business or finance.

Students who study economics investigate the allocation of scarce resources. The foundation of economics is based on theories of how people, institutions and governments make choices and interact. Some of the topics that a student of economics studies are: pricing, the effects of taxing and regulation by the government, inflation, income distribution and international trade.

Because Economics straddles the worlds of business and social science, the demand for economics majors is strong in both the public and private sector. Economics is also great preparation for graduate school in fields as diverse as business, law, and public policy.

As a computer engineering major, you'll design and upgrade advanced digital and computer-based systems by balancing and integrating the use of hardware components and software: a computer's central processor unit, memory devices, input/output devices and computer networks, operating systems, compilers, and general-purpose programming for specific applications.

You'll enjoy an extensive laboratory experience integrated with coursework that ensures a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals.

Upper-level courses combine academics with current technology and computational tools, which enables you to become the complete professional ready to contribute to the engineering profession after graduation by either entering the workforce or pursuing a graduate education.

A fine arts degree provides an intensive, professional exploration of fine art media. Students develop a portfolio and career plan through an emphasis in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking or sculpture.

Our master’s degree program prepares you for professional success. Many students go on to successfully complete a Ph.D., and others refine their skills for professional development and advancement. In the past few years, graduate students have presented at 30+ national, regional and state conferences.
