Students with a degree in applied mathematical economics learn to utilize mathematical modeling to analyze problems, which prepares them to pursue a variety of professions in business and economics. Our graduates have used their degree to launch careers in cost analysis, risk analysis, actuarial consulting, operations research, data science, quality control, investment consulting, insurance and technology consulting

Recent graduates are employed as scientists in academia, industry and government, or pursuing postgraduate education. In addition to our rigourous academic program, students can work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as discovering novel inhibitors of bacterial efflux pumps as a way to combat multi-drug resistance in bacteria, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings, and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments.

This program is designed to prepare engineers and aspiring engineers for leadership roles in engineering activities in industry, government, business and the military. The transdisciplinary early childhood education (ECE) graduate program is a cohort program designed for individuals who seek to work with young children and their families. The degree also includes courses focusing on very young children with special needs.
