The Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy program at the University of Dayton is designed for experienced early childhood professionals — such as program administrators, supervisors, teacher leaders and other professionals — who work with and advocate for young children and their families.

As a chemical engineering major, you will apply the principles of multidisciplinary sciences, problem solving, economics, and human relations to develop new products and processes, as well as design, build, and supervise facilities that convert raw materials into products and services for the common good.

Our chemical engineering program will provide you with fundamental science and engineering skills, applied engineering knowledge, and extensive experiential laboratory learning which culminate in a real-world design capstone. UD successfully integrates these core technical competencies with a balanced general education, opportunities for industrial or research involvement, and an overarching community environment, to create a unique, well-rounded educational experience that will prepare you for later success in the workforce, graduate school, or professional school.

As a sociology major you will build awareness for the different types of social inequality that exist, who is negatively impacted, where and how it emerges, and what perpetuates it. Courses will not only shed light on social inequality, but will teach you how to do something about it.

In addition to our rigorous academic program, students are provided with many opportunities to work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as developing improved flame retardants, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments. Graphic design is an intensive professional degree major that combines art and design foundation courses with the graphic design curriculum and an arts and sciences education.
