Prepare to perform in an opera, musical, recording studio, orchestra, band, chorus, chamber ensemble or as a soloist. Our program will help you refine your abilities in music performance to begin working or pursuing graduate studies after graduation. You will have a multitude of individual and group performance opportunities including solo competitions, workshops, masterclasses, and national and international travel with our ensembles.

As a member of the Discover Engineering Technology program at the University of Dayton, you will be able to explore the academic programs in the School of Engineering before finalizing your major.

You'll be enrolled in a specially designed seminar course that offers an introduction to the division, its faculty, curriculum, opportunities for graduates, and the various policies and procedures necessary for the successful student to follow. This seminar provides information on cooperative education and internship opportunities, as well as extracurricular options. The classes are small, and the attention is as individual as needed. With the help of this seminar, along with the assistance of your knowledgeable adviser, you will discover the area of engineering technology that's right for you.

Once you decide on your engineering academic program, students admitted as Discover Engineering Technology are guaranteed to move into any engineering technology program and students admitted as Discover Engineering are guaranteed to move into any engineering program. This program is designed to prepare engineers and aspiring engineers for leadership roles in engineering activities in industry, government, business and the military. We’ll help you build the analytical and managerial skills you need to plan, design, optimize and direct complex systems, programs and processes.

Topics researched by recent graduates include:

• Optimizing manufacturing, assembly and sequencing operations for a new facility.
• Developing a model for selecting a supplier for gas turbine engines.
• Determining the best configuration for a call center via simulation.
